ELECTRONIC TIMEPIECE
An electronic timepiece, including: a reciprocating hand which is provided to be rotatable only within a partial angle range of a circle; and a processor which acquires information according to an operation of the reciprocating hand, and makes the reciprocating hand perform a predetermined notification operation when a destination of the reciprocating hand is out of the angle range, the destination being determined on the basis of the information.
SMART WATCH
A smart watch comprises a case, a display device configured to present a user interface disposed in substantially all of a face of the case, a bezel around the display device configured to be rotated to select a mode of operation of the smart watch, and an analog first watch arm and an analog second watch arm disposed over the display, the second watch arm coaxial with the first watch arm. In a first mode of operation, the user interface presents a watch dial and control the first and second watch arms indicate a time of day first and second watch arms to indicate a time of day. In a second mode of operation, the user interface presents a dial and control the first and second watch arms form a pointer, the pointer configured to indicate a reading on the dial.

DISPLAY DEVICE
One embodiment of the present invention provides a highly reliable display device. In particular, a display device to which a signal or a power supply potential can be supplied stably is provided. Further, a bendable display device to which a signal or a power supply potential can be supplied stably is provided. The display device includes, over a flexible substrate, a display portion, a plurality of connection terminals to which a signal from an outside can be input, and a plurality of wirings. One of the plurality of wirings electrically connects one of the plurality of connection terminals to the display portion. The one of the plurality of wirings includes a first portion including a plurality of separate lines and a second portion in which the plurality of lines converge.
TIMING APPARATUS, TIMING METHOD, AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCE
The invention provides a timing apparatus that can generate timing information regarding a plurality of regions without performing a complex calculation that uses software and without causing a significant increase in electric current consumption. The timing apparatus includes: a lower counter that generates a count value that indicates a time in seconds; a first group of upper counters that generates a first group of count values that indicate a time in minutes, hours, days, months and years by performing a count operation in synchronization with the count operation performed by the lower counter; and a second group of upper counters that generates a second group of count values that indicate a time in minutes, hours, days, months and years by performing a count operation in synchronization with the count operation performed by the lower counter.
GAUGE OPACITY CONTROL
An apparatus can include a case that includes a dial and an indicator; a mechanism operatively coupled to the indicator and disposed at least in part in the case; an electronic lens that covers at least a portion of the dial; and circuitry that controls opacity of the electronic lens.
WATCH TYPE MOBILE TERMINAL AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF
A watch type mobile terminal and controlling method thereof are disclosed, by which a position of an hour hand and a position of a minute hand can be automatically changed to prevent an object contained in an application running screen from being blocked. A watch type mobile terminal in which time is indicated by at least one hand, the mobile terminal comprising: a display; and a controller configured to: cause the display to display a face screen; cause the at least one hand to point to a current time while the face screen is displayed; cause the display to display an execution screen of an application when the application is executed; and cause the at least one hand to move from a first position to a second position, deviating from the current time, to not block an area of the execution screen at which an object is displayed.
ANALOG ELECTRONIC TIMEPIECE AND HAND DRIVE CONTROL DEVICE
An analog electronic timepiece, including: a hand which is provided to be rotatable; and a processor which makes the hand perform at least one of an acceleration operation and a deceleration operation as a speed change operation when the hand is made to perform a fast forward movement, the acceleration operation being an operation of gradually increasing a fast forward speed of the hand from a stopped state when the fast forward movement is started, and the deceleration operation being an operation of gradually decreasing the fast forward speed until the hand comes into the stopped state when the fast forward movement is ended.
Smart Watch with Power Saving Timekeeping Only Functionality and Methods Therefor
A smart watch includes a watch casing with a display disposed along the watch casing. One or more processors are operable with the display. An energy storage device powers the one or more processors. When an amount of stored energy in the energy storage device is above a predefined threshold, the one or more processors perform a timekeeping function and at least one additional function. When the amount of stored energy in the energy storage device falls below the predefined threshold, the one or more processors disable the at least one additional function while continuing to perform the timekeeping function.
ANALOGUE SMART WATCH AND DISPLAY METHOD THEREOF
A pointer-type smart watch and a display method thereof are provided. The pointer-type smart watch includes: a cover, including a touch sensing unit; a case, collectively forming an inner cavity with the cover, and hour and minute hands being rotatable inside the inner cavity; a movement layer, provided at the bottom of the case, connected to the hour and minute hands with a rotation axis to provide power for rotation; a transparent display element, provided in the inner cavity and above the movement layer, and including an axis hole through which the rotation axis passes; a control module, configured to control operating states of the transparent display element; and a transparent solar element, provided in the inner cavity and above the movement layer, and coupled to a battery of the pointer-type smart watch.
