Information processing apparatus and method
The present technology relates to information processing apparatus and method, and a program that make a stress level controllable depending on circumstances. A stress level measuring unit measures a stress level of a user on the basis of a result of detection by various types of sensors included in an input unit. A stress factor specifying unit specifies a factor causing an increase or decrease in the stress level on the basis of an action of the user in a period in which the stress level is increased or decreased. The present technology is applicable to a stress control system, for example.
WATCH WITH OPTICAL SENSOR FOR USER INPUT
A watch can include a user input component that employs an optical sensor to receive input from a user. The input components provide an ability for a user to interact with the watch in a manner similar to how a user would interact with a crown that is rotatable and/or translatable. The user can provide motions and gestures near the input component that the input component can detect and interpret and user inputs to control an aspect of the watch. The motions and gestures provided by the user can be directly detected with optical systems of the input component, so that the number of moving parts are reduced and space within the watch is more efficiently utilized. While providing these benefits, the input component provides a user experience that simulates user interactions with a crown that is rotatable and/or translatable.

NOTIFICATION CONTROL DEVICE, WATCH, NOTIFICATION CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM
A notification control device acquires a plan of a subject, and causes a notifier to notify current day plan content information in a first notification mode and future plan content information in a second notification mode that differs from the first notification mode. The current day plan content information is information about the acquired plan of the subject for current day or is information about the acquired plan of the subject for a certain period including the current day. The future plan content information is information about the acquired plan of the subject for the future of the certain period or is information about the acquired plan of the subject for a certain future period not including the current day.
WATCH, POINTER CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM
A watch includes a pointer that rotates and indicates a time, a notifier that performs a notification operation to a user in a mode other than a visual mode, and a processor that controls the rotation of the pointer and the notification operation of the notifier. The processor is configured to control the pointer to cause the pointer to rotate faster than a rotation corresponding to a passage of time and move to a specified position and, when the pointer arrives at a notification position while the pointer is moving fast, control the notifier to cause the notifier to perform the notification operation.
SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING IDENTIFICATION AND INFORMATION, AND FOR SCHEDULING ALERTS
A device and system for providing identification and medical information are disclosed. The device includes a readable code that contains medical biographical information of the subject, a programmable reporter element that is programmed to electronically store at least one particular event relating to the subject, and a signal producing element functionally related to the programmable reporter element. The system includes collecting and storing medical biographical information of a subject, embedding the medical biographical information in a readable code of the device, and scanning the readable code of the device worn by or in the possession of the subject using an appliance to retrieve the medical biographical information of the subject. The medical biographical information allows medical professionals to obtain the subject's medical information in order to provide medical care. Also disclosed is an integrated system for alerting subjects to upcoming events related to their continued care.

USER INTERFACE USING GRAPHICAL DIALS TO REPRESENT USER ACTIVITY
A time management system includes a graphical user interface generated by an application on a mobile computing device. The graphical user interface is displayed on a touch-sensitive display of the mobile computing device and includes a substantially circular dial. The dial has an outer region and an inner region circumscribed by the outer region, the outer region representing a time domain and displaying one or more icons thereon to represent an associated one or more events to occur at a time of the time domain. The inner region displays information relating to at least one user selected event represented by the one or more icons in the outer region.
