System and method of estimating temperature of a power switch of a power converter without a dedicated sensor
A system for a power switch of a multiphase power converter coupled to an inductive load including a test controller, a voltage sampling circuit, a processing circuit, and a converter. A test pulse is applied to power switches of the converter to generate a test current through the inductive load, which forward biases a body diode of a power switch during a freewheel portion after the test pulse is completed. The voltage across the body diode is sampled during the freewheel portion, and the voltage samples are converted to a voltage value and a slope value. The voltage and slope values are converted to an estimated temperature value based on a characterization of the inductive load and the body diode. The conversion may be performed by a lookup table that stores an estimated temperature value for each unique combination of the voltage and slope values.

A motor drive control apparatus is mounted on a fan having a motor and an impeller coupled to the motor. The motor drive control apparatus includes a temperature sensor for measuring a temperature correlated with a temperature of the impeller, a temperature comparing portion for comparing a detected temperature based on a measurement result of the temperature sensor with a first temperature higher than a highest value of a design temperature of the fan, a rotation speed setting portion for setting an upper limit value of the rotation speed of the motor based on a comparison result the temperature comparing portion, a PWM command portion for controlling such that the rotation speed of the motor does not exceed the upper limit value set by the rotation speed setting portion.
Motor control device
A motor control device of an electric motor includes: a board with a heat sink; multiple switching elements; a drive circuit IC; a control circuit IC; first and second temperature sensors; a temperature information processing unit; and an abnormality determination unit. An out-of-normal-range state is a state where a temperature deviation exceeds a normal deviation threshold, and it is impossible to determine which one of the first and second temperature sensors is abnormal. When both sensors are normal, the temperature information processing unit uses one of first and second detected temperatures. When one sensor is abnormal and the other is normal, the temperature information processing unit uses one of the first and second detected temperatures of a normal sensor. When both sensors fall in the out-of-normal-range state, the temperature information processing unit uses one of the first and second detected temperatures which meets a predetermined condition.
Modular extra low voltage electric vehicle power system
In some aspects, an electric vehicle power system may comprise two or more electrically connected power modules connected to a system communication bus. Each power module may comprise a rechargeable battery electrically connected to a DC bus, an inverter circuit electrically connected to the DC bus, and at least one of a single-phase rectifier circuit electrically connected to the DC bus or a multi-phase rectifier circuit electrically connected to the DC bus. A local controller configured to send control signals may be connected to the rechargeable battery, the inverter circuit, and the at least one of the single-phase rectifier circuit or the multi-phase rectifier circuit. The single-phase rectifier circuit may be configured to convert a single-phase AC power signal into the DC voltage of the DC bus. The multi-phase rectifier circuit may be configured to convert a multi-phase AC power signal into the DC voltage of the DC bus.
Motor drive apparatus including short-circuit judgment unit for capacitor of DC link unit
A motor drive apparatus includes a converter configured to convert AC power of an AC power supply into DC power and outputs the DC power, a DC link unit including capacitors connected in series with each other, an inverter connected in parallel with the DC link unit, and configured to convert the DC power of the DC link unit into AC power for driving a motor, and outputs the AC power, and a short-circuit judgment unit configured to judge that at least one of the capacitors in the DC link unit has shorted in the case where, when the value of a voltage applied to a positive and negative bipolar terminal of the DC link unit is smaller than a first threshold, the value of an input current flowing from the AC power supply into the DC link unit via the converter is larger than a second threshold.
Touching induction garbage container with standby-opening function and controlling method thereof
A controlling method for touching induction garbage container with standby-opening function is provided. It provides a standby-opening working mode managed by a timing unit provided in a microcontroller. The timing unit times the triggering time of the microswitch foot pedal. As a user has touched the microswitch foot pedal for more than an induction time, setting as t seconds, the microcontroller will be switched to the standby-opening working mode. The microcontroller will be switched back to a regular working mode if the microswitch foot pedal is being touched again. The present invention provides a technical solution of a practical combination of a regular working mode and a standby-opening working mode, which is fully ergonomic and easy to utilize while ensuring service life spans of the driving mechanism and apparatus, increasing service life span of the battery and enhancing the power-saving performance of the touching induction garbage container.
Control device
A control device is configured to control an operation of a control target. The control device is configured to monitor an abnormality. The control device is configured to store abnormality information according to an abnormality monitor result. When the abnormality of a monitor target is detected, an abnormality treatment confirmation determination related to a transition determination to an abnormality treatment due to an occurrence of the abnormality is different from an abnormality storage confirmation determination that causes the control device to store, as the abnormality information, the abnormality of the monitor target.
