Evacuation controller

Modern large buildings and public places are equipped with a plurality of elevators, exits and points of interest for fluent movement. The passenger flows in a building or public place can be traced and modelled by using statistics and information regarding current state of the modelled building or public place. The information derived from this model can be used for controlling elevators, escalators and similar in the building more efficiently. The same information may be used also for guiding passengers in the building or public place to use other transportation means so that the duration high traffic situation can be reduced or sometimes completely avoided.

Virtual transmitter for bioreactor automation system

The present set of embodiments relate to an environmental condition monitoring and control system employing a software based virtual transmitter for a bioreactor or mixer. The system includes a probe for measuring a condition in a bioreactor that can generate a signal. Measured conditions may include pH, DO, temperature, and pressure. The signal can travel to an electronic card capable of converting the signal from analog to digital and the card can then send the converted signal to a digital controller. The condition monitoring and control system eliminates hardware redundancies and increases versatility by then displaying the converted signal in a software-based virtual transmitter on a non-dedicated human machine interface.

Characterization of blood hemostasis and oxygen transport parameters
10962524 · 2021-03-30 · ·

An integrated system for determining a hemostasis and oxygen transport parameter of a blood sample, such as blood, is disclosed. The system includes a measurement system, such as an ultrasonic sensor, configured to determine data characterizing the blood sample. For example, the data could be displacement of the blood sample in response to ultrasonic pulses. An integrated aspect of the system may be a common sensor, sample portion or data for fast and efficient determination of both parameters. The parameters can also be used to correct or improve measured parameters. For example, physiological adjustments may be applied to the hemostatic parameters using a HCT measurement. Also, physical adjustments may be applied, such as through calibration using a speed or attenuation of the sound pulse through or by the blood sample. These parameters may be displayed on a GUI to guide treatment.

A state estimation apparatus includes: a current information acquisition part that acquires information about a current at a power supply part of a refrigerating/freezing apparatus; a current information storage part that holds current information in a normal state of the refrigerating/freezing apparatus; an evaluation part that derives a degree of change based on the acquired current information and the current information in the normal state of the refrigerating/freezing apparatus; a filter cleaning determination part that estimates a clogging state of a filter of the refrigerating/freezing apparatus based on the degree of change to determine whether cleaning of the filter is necessary; and an output part that provides, for a determination result indicating that the cleaning of the filter is necessary, an output to that effect.

Operating heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems using occupancy sensing systems

Operating HVAC systems using occupancy sensing systems is described herein. One device includes instructions to receive a mapping describing relationships between a space of a plurality of spaces of a building, a plurality of fixtures of an occupancy sensing system installed in the space, and an upstream HVAC device associated with the building, wherein the upstream HVAC device serves a zone including the space, receive occupancy data determined by the fixture over a time period, filter the occupancy data to determine occupancy information associated with the fixture over the time period, determine an occupancy model associated with the space based on the occupancy information associated with the fixtures, and modify an operation of the upstream HVAC device based on the mapping and the occupancy model.

A modular door and frame that can be manufactured and supplied to end users with various combinations of intelligent features. The intelligent features allow functions to be performed by the door and/or frame. Also, conditions or events to be detected and monitored at the intelligent door and/or remote locations. Data relating to the various functions, events, or conditions can be communicated across a network that is communicatively coupled to the door.

STRUCTURAL FOUNDATION MONITORING SENSOR SYSTEM

Various embodiments of methods and apparatus for detecting a change in an orientation of a portion of a structure. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes a processor, an energy storage unit, a location reporting unit, a wireless communication module and one or more inclination sensors. In some embodiments, each of the one or more inclination sensors is configured to measure inclination by measuring an orientation of the each of the one or more inclination sensors relative to a gravitational acceleration vector.

Synthetic pathway engine

A process includes receiving information associated with a target molecule to be synthesized via a synthetic pathway engine user interface. The process also includes determining, using a synthetic pathway engine, synthetic pathway data for synthesis of the target molecule. In some cases, the process further includes generating a synthetic pathway report user interface that includes information associated with the synthetic pathway data. In other cases, the process further includes initiating automated synthesis of the target molecule using automated chemical synthesis equipment according to the synthetic pathway data.

User interface for recipe creation
10822580 · 2020-11-03 · ·

A user interface for a beer recipe creator may have a series of icons that may represent ingredients. A user may drag and drop or otherwise add the icons to containers on a display screen to add or remove ingredients to the recipe. With each added or removed ingredient, a set of descriptors may be updated. The descriptors may include numerical values of beer parameters as well as textual descriptions and visual descriptions. The system may allow a user to start with a desired beer style, and the parameters may show variances from the selected style. The system may generate an ingredients list, as well as a brewing recipe that may be transferred to a controller for a beer making machine. The system may adjust certain parameters that are controllable by the beer making machine to make flavor and other adjustments selected by a user.

Remote life science laboratories and storage facilities

An automated life science laboratory or a storage facility for biological specimens may be located together with or in close proximity to a data center. The location of the data center, the automated life science laboratory, and the storage facility may be a location in which land and/or electricity are less expensive than locations where the biological specimens are collected. The automated life science laboratory may have a high-capacity data connection to the data center. The life science laboratory, storage facility, and the data center may share a connection to the electrical grid, an HVAC system, and/or a security perimeter. A biological specimen may be removed from storage at the storage facility, process by one or more biotechnology protocols at the automated life science laboratory, and data from the processing may be stored in the data center.
