Software Tuning of Recipes for Beer Brewing System
20200157478 · 2020-05-21 ·

A beer making system may modify a beer ingredient/process recipe to adjust sensory characteristics of a desired beer. With a given ingredient list and starting recipe, a performance model of a brewing system may be used to generate an updated recipe when given a set of desired sensory characteristics of a desired beer. A user interface may permit a user to adjust characteristics such as thin/thick mouthfeel, dryness/maltiness, hops bitterness, hops flavor, hops aroma, and other characteristics. An updated recipe may change mashing schedules, boiling schedules, or other programmatically controlled aspects of a brewing system. The performance model may include heuristics as well as performance metrics derived from observing previous brewing sessions on one or multiple devices.

Dynamic segregation monitoring of concrete

A system and process for detecting dynamic segregation in concrete rotated within a mixer drum, such as mounted on a delivery truck. A system processor is programmed to monitor an instantaneous and averaged rheology parameter and to deploy protocols for detecting segregation. A first protocol comprises monitoring the averaged slump during and immediately after a jump in drum speed of at least plus or minus four rotations per minute and detecting when a change in the averaged slump value meets or exceeds a threshold; and a second protocol comprises monitoring the instantaneous slump when the mixer drum is rotating at a constant speed for at least three successive rotations and detecting when the instantaneous slump value meets or exceeds a threshold limit. Once segregation is detected, one or more operations can be initiated, such as initiating an alarm or adjusting the mix.

INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

In an information processing device according to the present invention, an acquisition unit is configured to acquire a plurality of values related to a state quantity of a target device. An extraction unit is configured to extract a state value group constituted by a plurality of values related to an identical state quantity from the acquired plurality of values. A specification unit is configured to specify a value to be used to manage the target device from the state value group based on reliabilities of the values included in the state value group.

System and approach for validating conditions of a space

A system and approach for verifying and validating a room condition and its behavior in a critical environment. The system and approach may be a room controller built on top of a Niagara framework or launched from a Niagara workbench, and leverages extensible of Niagara. The system and approach may be web-based and used to test and verify the room condition per preset conditions. The system may have steps or tabs. They may incorporate screens for a create/open task, select test zone, read flow, hood/booster, T-stat set-up or temperature lever set-up, visual checks, and a report. One may create a new task and edit any existing task on the controller. One may move from task to task in either direction or go directly to the report of a completed task.

Furniture article with user health analyzing system

Provided are a yawing control method and a yawing control device for a wind turbine. The yawing control method includes: acquiring first wind information at a current moment characterized by current operation data of a neighbor wind turbine adjacent to the wind turbine when at least one of a wind direction sensor and a wind direction data uploading path of the wind turbine fails; acquiring second wind information matched with the first wind information in wind information characterized by historical operation data of the wind turbine at all moments; and performing yawing control on the wind turbine based on the second wind information.

Method and system for reducing vibration of motion-enabled chairs

In a building equipped with a plurality of motion-enabled chairs such as a movie theatre, the vibration of the motion-enabled chairs adds up and may damage the foundation of the building especially at the resonance frequency. The present application describes a system and method for controlling the resulting vibration by introducing an alteration such as a delay or an inversion in the motion signals sent to the motion-enabled chairs. This delay causes the vibration of some motion-enabled chairs to be de-phased from the vibration of the other motion-enabled chairs. Whereby, the intensity (magnitude) of the resulting vibration is reduced. Control of the motion-enabled chairs may be done centrally through a central controller, or locally at selected motion-enabled chairs.
