An agricultural operations validation system works with a task controller of an agricultural machine that communicates operating instructions over a bus to operating elements of the machine to execute agricultural operations. A controller of the system includes a system processor executing programming instructions to (i) receive an operating file defining the operating instructions from an external device, (ii) communicate with the task controller to transfer the operating instructions, (iii) acquire performance information related to execution of the operating instructions, and (iv) compare the performance information to the operating instructions.
Method and apparatus for optimizing self-power consumption of a controller-based device
A device and method are disclosed for optimizing self-power consumption. The device may sense one or more operating conditions of the device. The device may further select one or more operating parameters associated with at least one of the one or more operating conditions. The device may also estimate a power consumption associated with executing an algorithm to generate at least one updated value for at least one of the one or more operating parameters as well as estimate a power savings associated with operating using the updated value. The device may compare the estimated power consumption to the estimated power savings and determine whether to execute the algorithm based on the comparing.

A method and program for printing a three-dimensional part with an additive manufacturing system, the method including generating or otherwise providing strain data from a digital model of the three-dimensional part, orienting the digital model to align the directions of high tensile strain in a build plane, and printing the three-dimensional part in a layer-by-layer manner based on the oriented digital model with the additive manufacturing system.

In one aspect, a method includes accessing, for sites, historical readings of HVAC activity, indoor temperature, and outdoor temperature and building a model for each of the sites using the historical readings of HVAC activity, indoor temperature, and outdoor temperature. The method also includes using a simulation engine to achieve a target load shed and load reduction shape for a thermostat-based demand response event, and performing the thermostat-based demand response event based on results of the simulation engine.

A method includes providing a net consumption trajectory comprising net consumption targets for one or more subperiods of a time period. Each net consumption target indicates a target difference from a beginning of a time period to an end of the subperiod between total consumption and total production or offset. The method also includes generating, for a subperiod of the plurality of subperiods, a set of curtailment actions predicted to achieve the net consumption target for the subperiod and implementing the set of curtailment actions.

Automatic scene creation using home device control
A distributed system of home device controllers can control a set of home devices. A home device controller of the system can determine a set of configurations for a set of home devices being repeatedly configured by a user. The controller can automatically display a selectable feature indicating a suggested scene corresponding to the set of configurations for the set of home devices. The system can receive one or more inputs to select the suggested scene, and based at least in part on the one or more inputs, associate the suggest scene with a set of triggers. In response to detecting the set of triggers, the controller can automatically transmit a set of commands that correspond to the suggested scene to the set of home devices to execute the suggested scene.
