Information processing apparatus, light emitting device, and non-transitory computer readable medium storing program
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to acquire an image obtained by imaging a space by one imaging device fixed in the space, specify, in the image, a two-dimensional coordinate of a bright spot indicating light emission of a light emitting device moving in the space, acquire output information output by the light emitting device, and specify a three-dimensional coordinate in the space of the light emitting device based on the output information and the two-dimensional coordinate.

Optical fiber illumination systems and methods
An illumination system generating light having at least one wavelength within 200 nm a plurality of nano-sized structures (e.g., voids). The optical fiber coupled to the light source. The light diffusing optical fiber has a core and a cladding. The plurality of nano-sized structures is situated either within said core or at a core-cladding boundary. The optical fiber also includes an outer surface. The optical fiber is configured to scatter guided light via the nano-sized structures away from the core and through the outer surface, to form a light-source fiber portion having a length that emits substantially uniform radiation over its length, said fiber having a scattering-in- duced attenuation greater than 50 dB/km for the wavelength(s) within 200 nm to 2000 nm range.
High density soilless plant growth system and method
A soilless system for high density plant growth includes a greenhouse structure; at least one elongate support member arranged substantially vertically in the greenhouse structure, the support member having a body having a flow channel defined therein; and a plurality of vertically spaced apart receptacles angularly disposed to the vertical axis of the body to receive a plant therein, the receptacles being in fluid communication with the flow channel; a fluid supply system in fluid communication with the flow channel to supply a fluid stream to the flow channel; and a fluid collection system to collect residual fluid that has flowed through the flow channel.

3-DIMENSIONAL PRINTER
In an example implementation, a first fusing lamp of a fusion assembly in a 3-dimensional printer is illuminated during a number of processing cycles for generating a 3D object, and a second fusing lamp of the fusion assembly is illuminated during a subsequent number of processing cycles for generating the 3D object.
Multifuncional environmental control unit
A novel multifunctional electromechanical device to monitor and control environmental conditions within an occupied space. This device can be configured as a standard VAV Diffuser, an intelligently controlled window, or an intelligently controlled shutter. Functions include thermal control, and air quality control. The device would be built and located to optimize functionality and satisfy the aesthetic needs of occupants, designers, and architects. Energy harvesting combined with ultra-low power operation would reduce the long term operational costs. Mechanical and electronic modularity would facilitate the incorporation of new functions and to upgrade existing functions to improve performance and reduce cost. Additionally, a gas flow damper device that would sense pressure differential integrally or remotely and intelligently control pressure differential. A self powered, energy harvesting damper could be used to balance pressures to various ones in an office space providing just enough air flow to satisfy each zone. Wireless node network would allow communication between multiple balancing dampers to create a highly collaborative network.
Illumination apparatus
An illumination apparatus which uses laser light emitted by a light source is provided. The illumination apparatus includes a housing which is tubular, internally includes an optical path for the laser light, and includes a first end surface having an opening through which the laser light passing through the optical path is released. A light emitter is opposed to the opening, receives the laser light released through the opening, converts the laser light into light having a different wavelength of a predetermined color, and emits the light. A cap is removably attached to a first end portion of the housing and through which the light emitted by the light emitter is released. A shutter opens the optical path when the cap is attached to the housing and closes the optical path when the cap is detached from the housing.
Automation system comprising a monitoring device and methods therefor
A monitoring device for use in an automation system, such as for a home, warehouse, or any type of structure. The monitoring device includes sensors, a processor, and a transmitter. Using its sensors, the monitoring device is capable of acquiring data about itself and/or its environment. That data is used by the monitoring device and/or a central controller to generate a request for an actor, such as lighting, an HVAC system, motorized drapes, a home entertainment system, other home systems, or appliances, to change its state.
