Provided is an operating device for a construction machine that prevents an operator from accidentally gripping the blocking bar when the operator walks through the passage in front of the console box and that also prevents work clothes of the operator from being caught in the blocking bar. An operating device for a construction machine includes: a console box having an operating lever attached to an upper surface thereof, wherein the operating lever outputs a signal for operating the construction machine in response to a manual operation; and a blocking bar that is swingably attached to the console box about an axis extending widthwise between a block position at which to block a passage provided in front of the console box and a retreat position at which the blocking bar retreats from the passage. A recess is formed in a front end of a lateral side of the console box. The blocking bar is housed in the recess when it is positioned at the retreat position.

A rotary controller selectively-disengageable locking knob assembly, having a hub having a longitudinal axis and an axial bore extending at least partially through the inner hub along the longitudinal axis, wherein the axial bore is configured to receive a shaft of the rotary controller arranged in or on a device surface. The assembly also includes a knob concentrically disposed about at least a portion of the hub, wherein the knob includes a first engagement arrangement. A post is threadedly engaged with the radial bore so as to secure the hub to the shaft of the rotary controller, and projecting radially outwardly through the radial slot, such that rotation of the knob induces a rotation of the hub via contact of the post with the radial slot. The knob is axially moveable on the hub to selectively disengage the first engagement arrangement from contact with a second engagement arrangement.

A vehicle input-operation assistance device includes: a traveling state detection section that detects a traveling state of a vehicle; an operation state detection section that detects an operation state of an operation member gripped by an occupant during operation; a support section that is capable of being stowed in an interior component of the vehicle, and that is capable of projecting from the interior component to a support position where the support section is capable of supporting an elbow of the occupant when the occupant is operating the operation member; and a controller that determines whether or not the elbow of the occupant operating the operation member needs to be supported based on information detected by the traveling state detection section and the operation state detection section and, in cases in which support is determined to be needed, controls the support section to project to the support position.

Solenoid valve for a portable hydraulic power unit

A portable hydraulic power unit includes a fluid tank supported on a frame, a first pump configured to draw hydraulic fluid from the tank and a second pump configured to draw hydraulic fluid from the tank. The portable hydraulic power unit further includes a two-way valve disposed on a high-flow line extending from an output of the second pump, the two-way valve movable between an open state and a closed state. The two-way valve is electrically-actuated and configured to shift to the open state based on a hydraulic fluid pressure in a combined flow line downstream of the first pump and the second pump exceeding a threshold pressure level. The two-way valve directs the output of the second pump back to the fluid tank when the two-way valve is in the open state.
