Driver assistance system

A driver assistance system enables brake and accelerator operation by an operation bar in a manner close to a sense of a driver of a vehicle, regardless of the degree of operation of the operation bar. Embodiments include an operation bar extending downward toward a vehicle floor panel from a manual operation area where a seated driver manually operates the operation bar, and whose lower portion is supported in a slidingly displaceable manner along an axial direction in a front-down, rear-up tilted state. The operation bar includes a brake actuation section, below the manual operation area, that actuates a brake mechanism by sliding displacement of the operation bar in a front-down direction; and an accelerator actuation section that actuates an acceleration mechanism by sliding displacement of the operation bar in a rear-up direction that is a reverse direction on the same axis from the sliding displacement in the front-down direction.

APPLIANCE KNOB ASSEMBLY

An appliance includes a base unit having a sidewall surrounding an interior cavity. A shaft assembly includes a first portion extending outwardly from the sidewall of the base unit. The shaft assembly further includes a second portion positioned within the interior cavity. A weighted member is operably coupled to the second portion of the shaft assembly for rotation therewith. The weighted member outwardly extends from the shaft assembly. A knob is positioned on the first portion of the shaft assembly for rotation therewith. The weighted member increases the rotational inertia of the knob assembly as operably coupled thereto through the shaft assembly.

PEDAL PAD ASSEMBLIES

Embodiments herein are directed to a pedal pad assembly. The pedal pad assembly includes an outer housing that has a cavity, an inner housing that has an outer surface and is slidably received within the cavity of the outer housing, a pedal pad coupled to the inner housing and is configured to translate the inner housing along a movement axis in response to a load applied to the pedal pad and a sensor assembly that includes a plurality of target members coupled to the outer surface of the inner housing and a sensor configured to sense a position of at least one target member. During a translation of the inner housing along the movement axis, at least one target member of the plurality of target members moves with the inner housing from a first position to a second position indicative of the movement of the inner housing within the cavity.

Controller assembly and electronic device with the same

A controller assembly functioning as a joystick includes a driving unit, a sliding member, a potentiometer, and a controlling module. The driving unit includes a driving mechanism, a worm, and a worm wheel, the worm wheel connected to the sliding member. Through the worm, the driving mechanism rotates the worm wheel, causing the sliding member to move up and down only. The potentiometer detects rotation of the worm wheel, the controlling module obtains movement accordingly of the sliding member. The controlling module obtains a user's operating force applied to the driving mechanism, and compares the positional information and the operating force information with preset values to obtain comparison results. The sliding member is driven to move according to the two comparison results. An electronic device with the controller assembly is also disclosed.
