COORDINATION OF MESSAGE THREAD GROUPINGS ACROSS DEVICES OF A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A system that can coordinate user interface formats having customized threads comprising messages from a common thread. Each client device can be managed by a data structure that defines thread containers, where individual thread containers define threads and topics for each thread. Each thread can also be associated with unique groups of messages. The data structure can cause each client computer to display different user interface formats, with each format showing different threads for each user. Users engaged in a chat on a parent thread can split the parent thread into multiple child threads, that can each be associated with unique topics. The system can then associate individual messages of the parent thread with each child thread. The system provides more granular control of user interface formats to allow users to separate messages of high-priority topics.
Apparatus, method and recording medium for controlling user interface using input image
A method of controlling a user interface using an input image is provided. The method includes storing operation executing information of each of one or more gesture forms according to each of a plurality of functions, detecting a gesture form from the input image, and identifying the operation executing information mapped on the detected gesture form to execute an operation according to a function which is currently operated.
Methods and systems for supplementing media assets during fast-access playback operations
Methods and systems are disclosed herein for a media guidance application that enhances the viewer experience by providing supplemental content related to a media asset during a fast-access playback operation. For example, in response to a user input during a fast-forward or rewind operation, the media guidance application may generate for display supplemental content related to the progression point of the media asset at which the user input was received while the fast-forward or rewind operation continues.
Object motion tracking with remote device
Examples of mixed reality computing devices that utilize remote sensors and local sensors as input devices are disclosed. In one example, a mixed reality computing device comprises an image sensor, a remote input device, a processor, and storage comprising stored instructions. The stored instructions are executable by the processor to perform object motion tracking and environmental tracking based on output from the image sensor, and in response to detecting that the remote input device is in use, adjust a parameter of the motion tracking while maintaining the environmental tracking.
Replica graphic causing reduced visibility of an image artifact in a direct-view of a real-world scene
Image compensation for an occluding direct-view augmented reality system is described. In one or more embodiments, an augmented reality apparatus includes an emissive display layer for presenting emissive graphics to an eye of a user and an attenuation display layer for presenting attenuation graphics between the emissive display layer and a real-world scene to block light of the real-world scene from the emissive graphics. A light region compensation module dilates an attenuation graphic based on an attribute of an eye of a viewer, such as size of a pupil, to produce an expanded attenuation graphic that blocks additional light to compensate for an unintended light region. A dark region compensation module camouflages an unintended dark region with a replica graphic in the emissive display layer that reproduces an appearance of the real-world scene in the unintended dark region. A camera provides the light data used to generate the replica graphic.
Data processing on memory controller
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for processing data on a memory controller. One of the methods comprises obtaining a first request and a second request to access respective data corresponding to the first and second requests at a first memory device of the plurality of memory devices; and initiating interleaved processing of the respective data; receiving an indication to stop processing requests to access data at the first memory device and to initiate processing requests to access data at a second memory device, determining that the respective data corresponding to the first and second requests have not yet been fully processed at the time of receiving the indication, and in response, storing, in memory accessible to the memory controller, data corresponding to the requests which have not yet been fully processed.
Gesture control of a fluid application system
A fluid application system includes a pump unit configured to pump a fluid to a fluid applicator. The fluid application system includes a sensor configured to sense a motion made by a user and generate a sensor signal indicative of the sensed motion. The fluid application system also includes a control system configured to identify a gesture based on the sensor signal and control the fluid application system based on the identified gesture.
Authentication for requests from third-party interfaces
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer-readable media, for authentication requests from third party interfaces. In some implementations, an information request is received to an information system from a computing system that provides a natural language interface, wherein the information request is associated with a user, and (ii) a token corresponding to the information request. In response to receiving the information request, a user data request and the token corresponding to the information request are sent for requesting user profile information for the user associated with the information request. A user identifier is extracted from user profile information received from the trusted profile provider system. A user identity is identified for the user based on a match between the extracted user identifier and a user identifier in a user registry associated with the information system. The information request is processed based on the identified user identity.
Automatic volume statistical and performance information tracking
A tape may be mounted into a tape drive. Mounting the tape into the tape drive may include loading the tape from a storage slot. The tape drive may request a first record of the tape from a tape storage subsystem. The tape drive may determine whether the first record of the tape exists in the tape storage subsystem. The tape drive may load the first record of the tape in random access memory (RAM) of the tape drive. The first record may include one or more data entries. The tape drive may append a new data entry to the first record. The first record may be transitioned to a second record upon being appended with the new data entry. The tape may be unmounted from the tape drive.
Cognitive platform including computerized elements
Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for generating a quantified indicator of cognitive skills in an individual. In certain configurations, the apparatus, systems, and methods can be implemented for enhancing cognitive skills in an individual.
