Moving data among disk slices located in different disk groups of at least one storage array
A technique for storage management involves: determining multiple source disk slices from a storage array that provides redundant storage, a current disk group where each of the multiple source disk slices is located being different from a target disk group where the source disk slice is specified to be located; determining multiple destination disk slices from the target disk group based on the multiple source disk slices, the multiple destination disk slices being used to replace the multiple source disk slices; and causing data to be moved to the multiple destination disk slices from the multiple source disk slices. Accordingly, such a technique may improve the reliability of a storage system.
REGISTRATION FOR AUGMENTED REALITY SYSTEM FOR VIEWING AN EVENT
Augmented reality systems provide graphics over views from a mobile device for both in-venue and remote viewing of a sporting or other event. A server system can provide a transformation between the coordinate system of a mobile device (smart phone, tablet computer, head mounted display) and a real world coordinate system. Requested graphics for the event are displayed over a view of an event.
Universal SFP support
Techniques for supporting optical and electrical protocols, such as on the ports of a line card in a network device, are provided. A port on a line card supports optical and electrical connections. The PHY monitors a signal to determine if the transmission connection at the port has changed, such as from optical to electrical, or vice versa. If there has been a change, the PHY is directed to reset a port to correspond to the appropriate transmission connection. By resetting the port, the PHY changes the protocol that is utilized with the signals (e.g., NRZI or 3-Level MLT3).
Interactive and customizable flight planning tool
A flight planning system for providing a flight planning tool comprises a memory device for storing flight information and one or more hardware processors configured to: receive a flight plan, access a calendar of events, determine events corresponding to dates associated with the flight plan, and provide a notification of the events on an interactive user interface.

System and method for making a recommendation for a user of a life management system
A life management system receives data from a client device worn by a user, the data comprising biotelemetry data and activity data collected about a user wearing the client device. The life management system generates snapshot information using information from a group consisting of: the biotelemetry data, activity data, social data associated with the user, and user profile information associated with the user. The life management system generates a recommendation using portions of the snapshot information, and updates the snapshot information with the recommendation. The life management system executes a recommendation associated with the snapshot information in accordance with the user controls associated with the user.
Using copied data in a distributed storage network
A storage unit includes an interface configured to interface and communicate with a dispersed storage network (DSN), a memory that stores operational instructions, and processing circuitry. The storage unit receives a set of read slice requests for a set of encoded data slices (EDSs) associated with a data object stored within a first set of storage units, where the storage the first set of storage units includes the storage unit. When at least a read threshold number of EDSs and fewer than all of the set of EDSs can be successfully retrieved from the first set of storage units, the storage unit identifies at least one EDS associated with a data object that is stored in a second set of storage units, obtains the at least one EDS and stores the at least one EDS in the storage unit.
Resolving detected access anomalies in a vast storage network
A method for execution by a computing device of a dispersed storage network includes obtaining resource information for a subset of storage units of a storage unit pool. W available storage units of the storage unit pool are identified in response to receiving a store data request. W choose S combinations of selecting S number of storage units of the W available storage units are identified. A plurality of rating levels is calculated based on the resource information, where each of the plurality of rating levels are assigned to a corresponding combination of the W choose S combinations. One combination of the W choose S combinations is selected based on the plurality of rating levels. Storage of data of the store data request is facilitated utilizing the S number of storage units of the selected one combination.
See-through computer display systems with adjustable zoom cameras
Aspects of the present invention relate to methods and systems for the see-through computer display systems with adjustable-zoom cameras positioned such that their respective capture fields-of-view at least partially overlap at a target distance.
Dual row-column major dram
A memory device includes an array of 2T1C DRAM cells and a memory controller. The DRAM cells are arranged as a plurality of rows and columns of DRAM cells. The memory controller is internal to the memory device and is coupled to the array of DRAM cells. The memory controller is capable of receiving commands input to the memory device and is responsive to the received commands to control row-major access and column-major access to the array of DRAM cells. In one embodiment, each transistor of a memory cell includes a terminal directly coupled to a storage node of the capacitor. In another embodiment, a first transistor of a memory cell includes a terminal directly coupled to a storage node of the capacitor, and a second transistor of the 2T1C memory cell includes a gate terminal directly coupled to the storage node of the capacitor.
