Dynamic adjustment of a presentation area

This disclosure describes a system for presenting items to a user at a presentation area within a materials handling facility. In some instances, a predicted items list that identifies items that are likely to be picked by a user are determined and, when the user arrives at the materials handling facility, those predicted items are presented to the user for selection. For example, predicted items may be determined and inventory holders that contain the predicted items may be routed to a presentation area and positioned for presentation to the user. The user may browse the presented items and pick the items they desire.

Hash suppression

An example method is provided in according with one implementation of the present disclosure. The method comprises generating, via a processor, a set of hashes for each of a plurality of objects. The method also comprises computing, via the processor, a high-dimensional sparse vector for each object, where the vector represents the set of hashes for each object. The method further comprises computing, via the processor, a combined high-dimensional sparse vector from the high-dimensional sparse vectors for all objects and computing a hash suppression threshold. The method also comprises determining, via the processor, a group of hashes to be suppressed by using the hash suppression threshold, and suppressing, via the processor, the group of selected hashes when performing an action.

A method for assisting selection of an accommodation by an accommodation search system includes receiving user credentials from a user device; receiving trip parameters from the user device; determining a basic list of accommodations that correspond with the trip parameters; determining one or more factors that apply to each individual accommodation of the basic list of accommodations; applying a weight value to each of the one or more factors that apply to each individual accommodation of the basic list of accommodations; aggregating the weight values of the one or more factors that apply to each individual accommodation to determine an aggregate weighted score for each individual accommodation of the basic list of accommodations; sorting the basic list of accommodations into a sorted list of accommodations based on the aggregate weighted score for each individual accommodation; and providing the sorted list of accommodations to the user device for viewing by a user.

Query-based time-series data display and processing system

Various systems and methods are described herein for an improved spreadsheet application that allows a user to generate, manipulate, and replicate data visualizations (e.g., sparklines, graphs, charts, etc.) using functions without importing data into cells of the application. For example, data is stored in one or more remote or local data stores accessible to the improved spreadsheet application. A user enters a function into a cell of the improved spreadsheet application. The improved spreadsheet application generates a query using the function, the query identifying a portion of a dataset to retrieve from the data store(s). The improved spreadsheet application then transmits the query to the data store(s) and retrieves the requested data. A renderer of the improved spreadsheet application then renders a sparkline using the retrieved data. The improved spreadsheet application displays the rendered sparkline in the cell in which the function was entered, or at another designated location.

Performing geospatial-function join using implied interval join

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for performing a geospatial-function join using an implied interval join. In an embodiment, a database platform receives a query that includes a geospatial-function join, which applies a geospatial-function predicate to a first geography data object of a first relation and a second geography data object of a second relation. The database platform processes the first and second relations through an interval join that applies an interval-join predicate that is implied by the geospatial-function predicate. The database platform obtains query results at least in part by implementing a filter that applies the geospatial-function predicate to an output of the interval join, and outputs the query results.

Method for automating transfer of plants within an agricultural facility

One variation of a method for automating transfer of plants within an agricultural facility includes: dispatching a loader to autonomously deliver a first module—defining a first array of plant slots at a first density and loaded with a first set of plants at a first growth stage—from a first grow location within an agricultural facility to a transfer station within the agricultural facility; dispatching the loader to autonomously deliver a second module—defining a second array of plant slots at a second density less than the first density and empty of plants—to the transfer station; recording a module-level optical scan of the first module; extracting a viability parameter of the first set of plants from features detected in the module-level optical scan; and if the viability parameter falls outside of a target viability range, rejecting transfer of the first set of plants from the first module.

Misuse index for explainable artificial intelligence in computing environments

A mechanism is described for facilitating misuse index for explainable artificial intelligence in computing environments, according to one embodiment. A method of embodiments, as described herein, includes mapping training data with inference uses in a machine learning environment, where the training data is used for training a machine learning model. The method may further include detecting, based on one or more policy/parameter thresholds, one or more discrepancies between the training data and the inference uses, classifying the one or more discrepancies as one or more misuses, and creating a misuse index listing the one or more misuses.

Retrieving context from previous sessions

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for retrieving and using contextual data from previous conversation sessions in conversational searches. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a first query for a first user session, determining that the first query refers to one or more tags in a first repository, the first repository associating respective identifiers to respective tags, each identifier representing a corresponding user session, determining one or more particular identifiers associated with the one or more tags in the first repository, retrieving particular contextual data associated with the determined particular identifiers in a second repository, the second repository associating respective identifiers to respective contextual data associated with corresponding user sessions represented by the respective identifiers, and performing an action responsive to the first query based on the retrieved particular contextual data.

System and method for querying a data repository

The present disclosure relates to methods and systems for querying data in a data repository. According to a first aspect, this disclosure describes a method of querying a database, comprising: receiving, at a computing device, a plurality of keywords; determining, by the computer device, a plurality of datasets relating to the keywords; identifying, by the computer device, metadata for the plurality of datasets indicating a relationship between the datasets by examining an ontology associated with the datasets; providing, by the computer device, one or more suggested database queries in natural language form, the one or more suggested database queries constructed based on the plurality of keywords and the metadata; receiving, by the computing device, a selection of the one or more suggested database queries; and constructing, by the computer device, an object view for the plurality of datasets based on the selected query and the metadata.

Dynamically adjusting UAV flight operations based on radio frequency signal data

In some implementations, a UAV flight system can dynamically adjust UAV flight operations based on radio frequency (RF) signal data. For example, the flight system can determine an initial flight plan for inspecting a RF transmitter and configure a UAV to perform an aerial inspection of the RF transmitter. Once airborne, the UAV can collect RF signal data and the flight system can automatically adjust the flight plan to avoid RF signal interference and/or damage to the UAV based on the collected RF signal data. In some implementations, the UAV can collect RF signal data and generate a three-dimensional received signal strength map that describes the received signal strength at various locations within a volumetric area around the RF transmitter. In some implementations, the UAV can collect RF signal data and determine whether a RF signal transmitter is properly aligned.
