Gaming system, gaming device, and method for providing a sports-based card game
A gaming system, gaming device, and method using a deck of cards containing statistics and identifying information from real-world sports players is described. The cards in the deck may contain the player scores for a set of games or matches as well as other player-related information. The gaming system and device randomly generate a hand and randomly select one of the player's pre-determined scores for each of the cards. The user's score may be determined through a variety of methods utilizing the player scores on the cards in the user's hand. The outcome of the user's hand may be determined by matching the user's score with a pay table, or for a multi-user game, the outcome may be determined by finding the highest scorer among the participating users.
FAILURE DIAGNOSIS DEVICE, FAILURE DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM, HOUSEHOLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, SENSOR UNIT, AND FAILURE DIAGNOSIS METHOD
A failure diagnosis device includes a communication unit, a data comparison unit, and an eligibility determination unit. The communication unit acquires first physical quantity data and second physical quantity data of a type different from that of the first physical quantity data that are used for performing failure diagnosis of a home appliance acquired by a sensor unit, and first control information related to the second physical quantity data acquired by the home appliance. The data comparison unit compares the second physical quantity data with the first control information. The eligibility determination unit determines whether or not the first physical quantity data is eligible as data used for the failure diagnosis based on a comparison result obtained by the data comparison unit.
CONTROLLER CONFIGURED TO STORE TRANSMISSION ADDRESS INFORMATION TO WHICH PAYMENT PROCESS INFORMATION FOR PRINT JOB IS TRANSMITTED IN ASSOCIATION WITH IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION
A printing device includes a controller configured to perform: (a) storing identification information and transmission address information in association with each other; (b) acquiring, in response to receiving a print job together with the identification information from an external device, the transmission address information stored in association with the identification information in the (a) storing on the basis of the received identification information; and (c) transmitting the transmission address information acquired in the (b) acquiring to a data processing server so that payment process information is transmitted to a transmission address corresponding to the transmission address information, the payment process information being information to pay a fee charged for performing printing based on the received print job.
CONTENT SELECTION DEVICE, CONTENT DISPLAY SYSTEM, AND CONTENT SELECTION METHOD
A content selection device includes: an image acquisition unit configured to acquire an image captured by an image capture device configured to capture a person; a human detection unit configured to detect one or more persons included in the image; and a selection unit configured to select a first person who has a slower moving speed than at least one other person from among the one or more persons, and select a first content according to an attribute of the first person as a content to be displayed on a display device.
Memory system
A memory system includes: a first memory module including first volatile memories; a second memory module including second volatile memories, non-volatile memories and a module controller; a memory controller controlling the first and second memory modules through second and third control buses, respectively; and a switch array electrically coupling the second and third control buses, wherein the module controller controls the switch array to electrically couple the second and third control buses in a backup operation for backing up data of the first volatile memories to the non-volatile memories, wherein the first and second memory modules include one or more first memory stacks and one or more second memory stacks, respectively, wherein the first volatile memories are stacked in the first memory stacks, and wherein the second volatile memories, the non-volatile memories and the module controller are stacked in the second memory stacks.
TELEMETRY SCHEME WITH A CONSTANT INSENSIBLE GROUP DELAY
Aspects of the subject technology relate to systems and methods for optimizing telemetry schemes with a constant insensible group delay. Systems and methods are provided for receiving an acquisition including compressed data and dummy data from a downhole logging system, determining a prior decompressor queue size based on the acquisition for a plurality of time intervals, determining a decompressor data size based on the acquisition for the plurality of time intervals, and determining a delay where the prior decompressor queue size is continuously greater than or equal to the decompressor data size for the plurality of time intervals.
RECOMMENDATION SYSTEM
A recommendation system includes: a first acquisition unit configured to acquire user history information; a calculation unit configured to calculate a use maturity representing maturity of use of a service for each of a plurality of users on the basis of the user history information; a second acquisition unit configured to acquire recommendation history information including target algorithm information and recommendation success/non-success information; a selection unit configured to select a target algorithm on the basis of the recommendation history information of a user group having a use maturity corresponding to the use maturity of the target user among the plurality of users; and a recommendation unit configured to determine a content to be recommended to the target user using the selected target algorithm and output information representing the determined content.
Communication apparatus, communication method, program, and communication system
Communication is performed more reliably. A CCI (I3C DDR) processing section determines status of an index when requested to be accessed by an I3C master for a read operation. An error handling section then controls an I3C slave 13 to detect occurrence of an error based on the status of the index and to neglect all communication until DDR mode is stopped or restarted by the I3C master, the I3C slave 13 being further controlled to send a NACK response when performing acknowledge processing on a signal sent from the I3C master. This technology can be applied to the I3C bus, for example.
Electronic device, processing proxy requesting method of electronic device, and information processing system
A system is dynamically configured according to a state of a device connected to a network. An electronic device includes a device information management unit, an acquisition unit, a detection unit, and a device cooperative processing unit. The device information management unit manages device information related to a different device connected through a network. An acquisition unit acquires surrounding information. A detection unit detects generation of a specific event on the basis of the acquired surrounding information. In a case where a function necessary for processing the surrounding information in response to detection of the specific event is not included in itself, the device cooperative processing unit selects a device including the function from the different device on the basis of the device information and gives a request for proxy of the processing thereto through the network.
