Information processing device, mobile terminal, and non-transitory computer readable medium for parameter presentation

An information processing device includes an extraction unit and a confirmation unit. The extraction unit extracts a parameter different from an initial setting from among information about a combination of parameters related to a formation of an image, the information being saved in an image forming device to be operated. The confirmation unit presents the extracted parameter to a user, and prompts the user to confirm a desire to change.

An electronic album editing device acquires image information and metadata from a storage unit and generates image data. An image identification device includes an image acquisition unit and an image identification unit. The image acquisition unit acquires image information and metadata corresponding to the image information. The image identification unit identifies a type of the acquired image information. The image identification unit identifies a target image as image information for which an actual size ratio can be specified if the metadata includes first information for ascertaining a size when a pixel size of the image information is projected to an object side. An actual size ratio calculation unit calculates an image size corresponding to the actual size ratio using the metadata when the image identification unit has identified an image for which the actual size ratio can be specified.

A printer may include a controller configured to: in a case where a predetermined instruction is obtained from a user under a situation where a service state of the printer for receiving a print job providing service from a server is a disabled state, shift the service state from the disabled state to an enabled state; in a case where a registration instruction to register printer information related to the printer in the server is obtained, send the printer information to the server; in a case where the registration instruction is obtained under the situation where the service state is the disabled state, shift the service state from the disabled state to the enabled state without obtaining the predetermined instruction from the user.

Mechanism for reducing coherence directory controller overhead for near-memory compute elements

A parallel processing (PP) level coherence directory, also referred to as a Processing In-Memory Probe Filter (PimPF), is added to a coherence directory controller. When the coherence directory controller receives a broadcast PIM command from a host, or a PIM command that is directed to multiple memory banks in parallel, the PimPF accelerates processing of the PIM command by maintaining a directory for cache coherence that is separate from existing system level directories in the coherence directory controller. The PimPF maintains a directory according to address signatures that define the memory addresses affected by a broadcast PIM command. Two implementations are described: a lightweight implementation that accelerates PIM loads into registers, and a heavyweight implementation that accelerates both PIM loads into registers and PIM stores into memory.

Managed virtual networks for computing cloud edge locations

Techniques are described for a cloud provider to provide a managed experience related to the use of virtual networks and subnets to logically group user computing resources deployed at provider substrate extensions. A cloud provider enables users to create virtual network templates used when deploying computing resources at provider substrate extensions, where such virtual network templates may include various networking, security, and other configurations to be applied to network traffic and other activity of resources deployed within an associated virtual network. Once a virtual network template is defined, a user can use the template as the basis to launch resources into the virtual network and, by extension, into provider substrate extensions associated with the virtual network. Upon receiving such a request, the provider network can manage the creation and configuration of underlying subnets, route tables, and other resource, as needed, at each of the relevant provider substrate extensions.

System for recorded e-book digital content playout

A system allows for audio playout of e-book content data using a playout electronic device recorded by a remote recording electronic device. The system may analyse the e-book content to infer XY on-screen display coordinates for each word of the e-book and speech recognition may correlate the timing of the spoken words to the XY coordinates. As such, a read along display animation may be generated by the digital display of the playout electronic device in time with the audio and the respective on-screen position of each word. Eye tracking may be employed by the playout electronic device for the display of a gaze position indicator to the recording electronic device in substantial real-time. The system may further employ machine learning to optimise a trained machine to output at least one prosodic features for user profile specific speech emulation using a speech emulator.

The application is applicable for use in conjunction with a system that includes connected vehicle communications in which vehicles in the system each have an onboard processor subsystem and associated sensors, the processor subsystem controlling the generation, transmission, and receiving of messages communicated between vehicles for purposes including crash avoidance. A method is set forth for determining, by a given vehicle receiving messages, the occurrence of misbehavior, including the following steps: processing received messages by performing a plurality of plausibility determinations to obtain a respective number of plausibility measurements; determining at least one context for the region at which the given vehicle is located; weighting the plurality of plausibility measurements in accordance with values determined from the at least one context to obtain a respective plurality of plausibility indicator values; and deriving a misbehavior confidence indicator using the plausibility indicator values.
