Systems and methods for creating, inserting, and managing a field. The field comprising a key and a corresponding formula. The method for inserting the field including receiving a field insertion request; identifying and forwarding, by the field management system, one or more keys and formulas corresponding to one or more suggested fields for rendering on a user interface of a client device; receiving, at the field management system, indication of selection of a key from the one or more keys; computing, by the field management system, a result for the formula of the field associated with the selected key; and communicating the result from the field management system to the first client application for rendering in line with the electronic content.

There is provided an information processing apparatus for automatically generating information representing a context surrounding a user, the information processing apparatus including a recognition processing unit configured to perform, on the basis of user environment information including at least any of location information representing a location where a user is present, image information relating to an environment surrounding a user, and audio information relating to the environment, an analysis process of at least any of the location information, the image information, and the audio information included in the user environment information, at a predetermined time interval, and to recognize a context surrounding the user, using the acquired result of analysis relating to the user environment; and a context candidate information generating unit configured to generate context candidate information representing a candidate of the context surrounding the user, the context candidate information including, at least, information representing the context surrounding the user and information representing the user's emotion in the context, using the result of context recognition performed by the recognition processing unit.

There is provided an information processing apparatus for automatically generating information representing a context surrounding a user, the information processing apparatus including a recognition processing unit configured to perform, on the basis of user environment information including at least any of location information representing a location where a user is present, image information relating to an environment surrounding a user, and audio information relating to the environment, an analysis process of at least any of the location information, the image information, and the audio information included in the user environment information, at a predetermined time interval, and to recognize a context surrounding the user, using the acquired result of analysis relating to the user environment; and a context candidate information generating unit configured to generate context candidate information representing a candidate of the context surrounding the user, the context candidate information including, at least, information representing the context surrounding the user and information representing the user's emotion in the context, using the result of context recognition performed by the recognition processing unit.

An online system that allows users to interact with it using expressions in natural language form includes an intent inference module allowing it to infer an intent represented by a user expression. The intent inference module has a set of possible intents, along with a small set of example natural language expressions known to represent that intent. When a user interacts with the system using a natural language expression for which the intent is not already known, the intent inference module applies a natural language inference model to compute scores indicating whether the user expression textually entails the various example natural language expressions. Based on the scores, the intent inference module determines an intent that is most applicable for the expression. If an intent cannot be determined with sufficient confidence, the intent inference module may further attempt to determine whether the various example natural language expressions textually entail the user expression.

Inline content item editor commands are provided. An implementation allows a user to initiate various functions related to a content item being edited by entering a command expression inline with the content of the content item being edited. The manner of editor function initiation saves the user time and effort and reduces cognitive burden on the user because it does not require the user to change input modes (e.g., from keyboard to mouse) or change input areas (e.g., from a content item editing area to a distant toolbar or context menu) in order to initiate the function and, if applicable, provide parameters to the function.

Technologies are provided for determining deficiencies in narrative textual data that may impact decision-making in a decisional context. A candidate text document and a reference corpus of text may be utilized to generate one or more topic models and document-term matrices, and then to determine a corresponding statistical perplexity and probabilistic coherence. The reference corpus may be known or normatively deemed to be epistemically persuasive and adequate with respect to a particular context. Statistical determinations of a degree to which the candidate deviates from the reference normative corpus are determined, in terms of the statistical perplexity and probabilistic coherence of the candidate as compared to the reference. If the difference is statistically significant, a message may be reported to user, such as the author or an auditor of the candidate text document, so that the user has the opportunity to amend the candidate document so as to improve its adequacy for the decisional purposes in the context at hand.

An approach is provided in which an information handling system analyzes a set of historical form data corresponding to a set of completed forms. The set of historical form data includes information indicating a historical order at which a set of fields were completed in the set of completed forms. Next, the information handling system determines, based on the set of historical form data, a current order at which to complete a set of incomplete fields included in a current form. In turn, the information handling system displays the current form and a user interface on a display that indicates the current order at which to complete the incomplete fields on the current form.

Techniques include systems, computerized methods, and computer readable media for creating a graphical program in a graphical program development environment. A spreadsheet node having an input terminal in the graphical program is instantiated. The spreadsheet node is associated with a spreadsheet that specifies a list of functions to be executed in a computing device, and the input terminal is connected to the first terminal of the first node, indicating a data connection between the first terminal of the first node and the input terminal of the spreadsheet node. The input terminal of the spreadsheet node is associated with a first cell in the spreadsheet, indicating that the first cell in the spreadsheet be populated with any data received by the input terminal. A human readable file is generated specifying the graphical program, including the spreadsheet node.

An apparatus and method for executing an application may execute a text string selected by a user or an application associated with a type of text string to input the text string to increase the user's convenience. The apparatus of executing an application includes a text string recognizer to determine a text string, a determiner to determine one or more candidate applications related to the text string, and an input location of the selected text string based on a type of the selected text string and the association model, an application list provider to generate and display a list of the candidate applications, and an application executer to execute a candidate application selected from the list and to input the selected text string into the input location of the candidate application.
