System and Method for Providing Digital Content
A method of electronically displaying glyphs. The method includes receiving a glyph spacing, moving a first glyph toward a second glyph along an axis, identifying an intersection of a first axis coordinate of the first glyph with a second axis coordinate of the second glyph, and moving at least one of the glyphs along the axis to separate the first and second axis coordinates of the respective first and second glyphs by the glyph spacing.
In-band peripheral authentication
This document describes techniques (300, 400) and apparatuses (100, 500, 600, 700) for in-band peripheral authentication. These techniques (300, 400) and apparatuses (100, 500, 600, 700) may communicate via a non-media channel allowing host device (102) to authenticate peripheral (106), enable an enhanced operational mode of the host device (102), and/or provide content configured for the peripheral (106) without the use of out-of-band signaling.
Scanning liquid-crystal display backlight
A display includes an optical waveguide with opposing front and back faces, an injection optic, and volume hologram arranged on or within the waveguide. The injection optic is configured to inject light into the waveguide at a variable injection angle, which influences the reflection angle at which the light reflects from the front and back faces on propagating through the waveguide. The hologram is configured to release, in a predetermined direction, a portion of the light from the waveguide when excited at a predetermined reflection angle.
User interface apparatus and method for controlling the same
The present disclosure relates to a multi-dimensional user interface apparatus that selects an object by sensing a motion of a user and a control method thereof. The user interface apparatus according to the present disclosure includes an eye gaze sensing unit to sense eye positions and eye gaze directions of a user, and a hand shape sensing unit to sense a hand shape of the user, wherein the user interface apparatus calculates a position factor related to a location of an object from the eye positions and the eye gaze directions, calculates at least one conformity factor related to a conformity between the hand shape and the object from the hand shape, and determines the object as a target selected by the user based on the calculated position factor and the at least one conformity factor.
Three dimensional human-computer interface
A system includes a three dimensional display device configured to project computer generated controls and a target image in a three dimensional target volume; and an actuator configured to be worn by an operator. The system further includes one or more sensors configured to sense a movement of the actuator, wherein the controls are configured to be manipulated corresponding with the movement of the actuator within the target volume to alter an appearance of the target image.
