A management server connected, to a plurality of image forming devices and an information processing device having a printer driver is provided. The server manages, for each location, network information and information of print performance of an image forming device belonging to the location; identifies a location to which the information processing device belongs, based on the network information, upon receiving from the information processing device a notification that network setting of the information processing device has been changed; and transmits, to the information processing device, a device setting of the printer driver based on information of print performance corresponding to an image forming device belonging to the location being identified.

A wireless communication system including: a first processing device configured to function as a first access point; a terminal device configured to be wirelessly connected to the first access point; and a second processing device, wherein the first processing device transmits first connection information used for a connection to the first access point to the second processing device, and the second processing device starts a second access point using second connection information identical to the first connection information received from the first processing device and performs wireless communication with the terminal device using the second access point.

The printer for security paper includes: security paper sensor disposed on a printing paper feeding path; and a control unit for comparing a first sensing value sensed by the security paper sensor when printing paper to be determined is not present near the security paper sensor with one or more second sensing values sensed by the security paper sensor for the corresponding printing paper on the feeding path, during the course of conveying the corresponding printing paper on the feeding path, determining printing paper as security paper when a comparison value is above a predefined reference value, and determining printing paper as normal paper when the comparison value is below the predefined reference value.

A printing system includes an information processing apparatus, a mobile terminal, and a printer. The information processing apparatus is configured to transmit job identification information and address information to the mobile terminal, and transmit a printing job to the printer when receiving a transmission request for the printing job identified by the job identification information from the printer. The mobile terminal is configured to transmit the job identification information and the address information to a selected execution printer. The printer is configured to transmit a transmission request for transmitting the printing job to the information processing apparatus specified by the received address information when receiving the job identification information and the address information from the mobile terminal, and execute printing processing in response to receiving the transmission request.

A non-transitory storage medium stores a plurality of instructions readable by a computer of an information processing apparatus. The plurality of instructions cause the information processing apparatus to execute first setup processing of allowing a particular port of a plurality of communication ports to be used by software used for communicating with a particular device through a communication interface. Before the first setup processing is executed, the plurality of instructions cause the information processing apparatus to execute determination processing of determining whether the first setup processing is executable for the particular port or not. When it is determined that the first setup processing is not executable for the particular port, the plurality of instructions causes the information processing apparatus to execute second setup processing of setting up the particular port as the communication port for which the first setup processing is executable.

A non-transitory storage medium stores a program readable by a computer of an information processing apparatus. When executed by the computer, the program causes the information processing apparatus to execute: (a) in response to receipt of an establishing instruction, obtaining processing of obtaining device information of at least one connectable device which is a device capable of connecting to the information processing apparatus, (b) specifying processing of specifying a particular device to which the wireless communication is established based on the obtained device information, and (c) instruction processing of instructing an operating system of the information processing apparatus to execute pairing with the particular device. The operating system establishes wireless communication based on a prescribed wireless communication protocol with the particular device in response to receipt of an instruction for the pairing.

A scanner includes: a pulse generator that generates a pulse signal; a transmissive optical sensor including a photo transmitter that projects pulsed light in response to the pulse signal and a photo receiver facing the photo transmitter; a charge-discharge unit capable of storing an electric charge of the pulse signal and discharging the stored electric charge; and a controller that causes the charge-discharge unit to discharge the electric charge when the photo receiver receives the pulsed light, causes the charge-discharge unit to store the electric charge when the photo receiver does not receive the pulsed light, and that starts supply of power to a CPU when an amount of the electric charge is at or above a threshold.

An image recording device includes a cartridge mount configured to hold a cartridge detachably, a cartridge interface, a print engine configured to execute printing, a communication interface configured to connect to a communication network connected to the Internet, memory and a controller. A card encoding system comprises a belt to receive an encodable card on a first surface of the belt; a contactless encoding module including an encoding antenna, wherein the encoding antenna is positioned opposite a second surface of the belt; and a belt drive controller configured to rotate a drive roller to move the belt to position the encodable card for encoding using the encoding antenna.

The first teacher information includes designated teacher information representing a combination of ink amounts of the first apparatus representing a color included in the designated color gamut.
