Methods, devices, and systems for verifying digital tickets at a client
The disclosed embodiments provide methods and systems for verifying a ticket at a client. One method comprises: sending a request for an electronic ticket verification interface to a server, the request including identification information of at least one purchased electronic ticket; receiving response information returned when the server determines by parsing and verification that electronic ticket information included in the request meets a ticket verification condition, and displaying, in a corresponding display box, an electronic ticket verification interface invoked by an electronic ticket verification interface invoking instruction included by the response information; and sending password input information collected on the verification interface to the server within a limit of password input times, and receiving ticket verification prompt information returned by the server in response to the password input information.
Method and smart card adapted for progressive fingerprint enrollment
The present invention relates to a method for progressively enrolling a user of a smart card, specifically applying a multi-step activation process for enabling fingerprint authentication for the smart card. The invention also relates to a corresponding smart card and to a computer program product. The present invention provides a solution for seamless fingerprint enrollment for a smart card user.
Activating an output component to indicate an orientation of a near-field communication (NFC)-capable transaction card
A transaction card may monitor an amount of electric current induced in a first near-field communication (NFC) component of a transaction card. Electric current may be induced in the first NFC component when the first NFC component is within an electromagnetic field generated by a second NFC component of a transaction terminal. The transaction card may dynamically activate one or more output components associated with the transaction card based on the amount of electric current induced in the first NFC component. The one or more output components may indicate whether the transaction card can communicate with the transaction terminal. The transaction card may perform an action related to completing a transaction after determining that the amount of electric current induced in the NFC component satisfies a first threshold. The first threshold may indicate that the transaction card can communicate with the transaction terminal.
Smartcard comprising a fingerprint sensor and method for manufacturing the smartcard
Method for manufacturing a smartcard comprising a fingerprint sensor, the method comprising: arranging a fingerprint sensor module in an opening of a carrier layer of a smartcard body; forming a cavity in the smartcard in an area corresponding to a sensing area of the fingerprint sensor module; forming a plurality of surface structures in the cavity of the smartcard; depositing a liquid hydrophobic material in the cavity to at least partially cover the surface structures and a smartcard manufactured according to the described method.
Transaction card with integrated stand
The disclosed embodiments generally relate to a transaction card with an integrated card stand. The transaction card comprises a substrate having a card thickness, and first and second card surfaces, the second card surface being substantially coextensive with the first card surface. The transaction may further comprise a card stand pivotable relative to the second card surface and having a stand thickness.
Method of reducing fraud in on-line transactions
The invention provides a method for verifying the identity of an internet user, or for detecting the misuse of an identity, during an on-line transaction. The method involves comparing the geographic location of the transaction to the geographic location of the user's cell phone or other mobile device, and taking a geographically close location relationship between the two as a positive indication of identity. A reasonable travel time between the two locations can be taken into account so as to reduce the incidence of false negatives, and to improve the reliability of positive identifications.
System and method for handling point of sale card rejections
Systems and methods for transaction processing control are presented. Transaction processing control may be obtained through interaction of a POS device, an account card, and a mobile device. Transaction processing control may be provided in the context of providing account information, including handling requests to select and provide a second account number via a mobile device in communication with a rejected card such that the rejected card need not be removed from the point of sale device and a second card need not be submitted to the point of sale device.
METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM FOR CHARACTERIZING AN OPTICAL SYSTEM
Techniques for characterizing an optical system (for example, a printer verifier) are provided. In this regard, the optical system may be characterized for scanning a printed image. The characterization of the optical system includes determining an effective aperture size of the optical system, and correspondingly an effective resolution at which the optical system can be configured to scan a portion of the printed image according to verification requirements.

Digital identity authentication and verification system, method, and device
This disclosure generally relates to a system for authenticating a user in a digital or physical environment. The system includes an electronic device associated with the user and receiving verification information from the user. The system further includes a server computer, connected to the electronic device, the server computer including the verification information about the user. The electronic device receives the verification information about the user and provides it to the server computer for comparison. The server computer verifies the user based on the verification information about the user received from the electronic device.
