Materials handling vehicle operating system comprising remedial indicator tags
A materials handling vehicle operating system is provided comprising a tag layout where a plurality of entry/exit tag sets are arranged along a travel path at different ones of the entry/exit thresholds of a restricted navigation zone. Each entry/exit tag set comprises a release tag, a restriction tag, and an indicator tag. The indicator tag is positioned between the restriction tag and the restricted navigation zone. The restriction tag is positioned between the release tag and the indicator tag. The tag reader and the reader module cooperate to compare identified tag data with stored tag data and initiate a remediation operation when an indicator tag is identified in place of a restriction tag. Tag layouts for one-way and two-way travel into and out of a restricted navigation zone are also contemplated.
AUGMENTED REALITY WIRELESS PLANNING AND TROUBLESHOOTING
The present technology includes calculating the 3-D RF propagation pattern in a space for at least one Wi-Fi access point and displaying a visualization of the RF propagation pattern in augmented reality (AR). The augmented reality view of the space can be created by capturing at least one image of the space and displaying at least one image of the space on a display with the visualization of the Wi-Fi access point RF propagation pattern on the display overlaid at least one image of the space. The disclosed technology further can calculate the RF propagation properties and render a visualization of the RF propagation patterns in a 3D space by utilizing hardware on a user device. The AR display is useful in visualizing, in-person aspects of a Wi-Fi network and coverage, and can be used in troubleshooting, maintenance, and simulations of equipment variations.
DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR CARD SKIMMING PROTECTION
A card reader's motorized transport is controlled by firmware of the reader so as to control a distance that any card can be pulled into the reader during a transaction on a host device. The distance is sufficient enough to allow an embedded chip on the card to be read by a chip read interface but is insufficient to be read by a magnetic read interface. Furthermore, the entire length of the card is prevented from completely passing over the magnetic read interface during the transaction such that any skimmer placed within the reader is physically unable to read the magnetic card information from the magnetic strip of the card. In an embodiment, the firmware is configured to permit only chips from the cards to be read for transactions or configured to turn off chip only reading by permitting both chip reads and magnetic strip reads for each transaction.
CARD READER
A card reader includes a card lock mechanism preventing pulling-out of a card jammed in a card conveyance passage, and an operation part for manually releasing lock of the card caused by the card lock mechanism. The card lock mechanism includes a motor, and a lock member which is provided with a blocking pawl for preventing pulling-out of the card and is moved between a contact position where the blocking pawl contacts the card and a retreated position where the blocking pawl is retreated from the card conveyance passage. The operation part includes a rotation member in a tube shape having an inner circumference wall surrounding an output shaft of the motor, and an engaging member provided on the inner circumference wall and extended along a circumferential direction of the output shaft and engageable with an outer peripheral face of the output shaft. The engaging member is elastically deformable.
DATA CAPTURE DEVICE FOR AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM AND A BUILDING ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
A data capture device for a building system has a housing in which a display device, an optical reading device, and a first reading device are arranged and which are communicatively connected to a control device arranged in the housing. The optical reading device is embodied to optically detect information from a first information carrier, wherein the optical reading device is arranged in such a way that light from the direction of the front side of the housing, which is accessible to a user, can be captured by an image sensor of the optical reading device. The first reading device has a first antenna in order to detect information from a second information carrier by means of radio communication, the first antenna comprising an air coil which has an inner space. The image sensor of the optical reading device is arranged entirely or partially in the inner space of the air coil.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
An image forming device capable of reducing resources related to destruction of a wireless tag is provided. The image forming device according to the present embodiment includes a reader and writer, a fixing unit, a determination unit, and a control unit. The reader and writer reads information from the wireless tag. The fixing unit heats and conveys a sheet having the wireless tag. The determination unit determines a defect of the wireless tag based on a reading result of the reader and writer. If the determination unit determines that the wireless tag is defective, the control unit controls the fixing unit to increase an amount of heat applied to the wireless tag such that information cannot be read from the wireless tag.
Continuous integration framework for development of software for EMV-based card present transaction processing
A continuous integration framework for developing software for transaction processing and method for using the same are described. In one embodiment, the method comprises generating a trusted artifact with a forward immutable continuous integration (CI) implemented as a build pipeline, wherein the artifact comprises updated software comprising payment processing code with an EMV vector kernel for processing of EMV-based card present transactions; and in response to the software update, performing end-to-end testing of EMV card present transactions using code commits from one or more code repositories, wherein the end-to-end testing comprises executing the code commits that includes executing payment processing code for processing EMV-based card present transactions with an EMV vector kernel and one or more emulated EMV cards, and running tests against the executing code commits to validate behavior the payment processing code including the EMV vector kernel, wherein the tests comprise running one or more emulated EMV cards against the vector kernel as part of one or more emulated EMV-based card present transactions and monitoring communications related to the one or more emulated EMV-based card present transaction communications.
