METHOD OF PRINTING ONTO VARIABLE-SIZED BOX SUBSTRATES
A method of printing onto a planar box substrate used for assembling a box having predetermined box dimensions. The method includes the steps of: determining box dimensions based on the planar box substrate; retrieving generic instructions for image content to be printed on the box substrate; preparing box-specific transformations using the generic instructions and the box dimensions; applying the box-specific transformations on design components to generate image content portions commensurate with image content regions; generating image data based on the image content portions; and printing onto the box substrate using the image data.
SELECTIONS OF CORRECTION PROCESSES FOR PRINTING DEVICES
In some examples, a system detects an error in an printing device, and selects a combination of a medium advance error correction process to address a medium advance error and a faulty nozzle correction process to address a faulty nozzle, where the selecting of the combination is from a plurality of different combinations of the medium advance error correction process and the faulty nozzle correction process, and the selecting is based on a criterion relating to an interaction between the medium advance error and faulty nozzle correction processes.
MEDIUM OUTPUT CONTROL DEVICE AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM FOR OUTPUTTING A MEDIUM WITH A DEFECT TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION
A medium output control device includes a processor configured to: perform control to output, among plural mediums to be output, a medium without a defect to a first output location; perform control to output, among the plural mediums, a medium with a defect to an output location different from the first output location; and perform control to, after the medium with a defect is output to the output location different from the first output location, keep outputting a medium without a defect among the plural mediums to the first output location until a quantity of mediums output to the first output location reaches a predetermined quantity.
Techniques for managing album artwork images
A server computing device can (1) managing a plurality of album artwork templates, wherein each album artwork template of the plurality of album artwork templates includes a plurality of entries, and each entry of the plurality of entries defines a respective manner by which a respective album artwork image is to be generated, (2) receiving, from a client device, a request for an album artwork image, wherein the request includes: a first identifier that corresponds to a particular image of an artist, a second identifier that corresponds to a particular album artwork template of the plurality of album artwork templates, and locale information that corresponds to a particular entry of the particular album artwork template, and (3) generating the album artwork image according to the respective manner defined by the particular entry, wherein the album artwork image is based at least in part on the particular image of the artist.
Image formation apparatus and method of image formation
An image formation apparatus includes a communication unit, a controller, an operation unit, and an image forming device. The communication unit is configured to receive, as a printing job, a printing setting and printing data. The printing setting includes a size corresponding to one of a longitudinal-feed envelope and a lateral-feed envelope, but does not designate which of the longitudinal-feed and lateral-feed envelopes undergoes printing. The raster image generator is configured to generate a raster image corresponding to the longitudinal-feed envelope and a raster image corresponding to the lateral-feed envelope in accordance with the printing data. The operation unit is configured to display a screen that receives a selection between the longitudinal-feed and lateral-feed envelopes to receive the selection made by a user. The image forming device is configured to perform printing with the raster image corresponding to the longitudinal-feed or lateral-feed envelope selected.
Methods and printing system for intelligent offline ink estimation
A printing system includes an offline estimation device that provides estimates for ink or toner use for a print job at a target printing device. The offline estimation device retrieves digital front end (DFE) version information, configuration setting information, and color printing resources from the target printing device. Using the DFE version information, the offline estimation device selects a raster image processor (RIP) from a plurality of RIPs of software versions available within the printing system. The offline estimation device configures the RIP with configuration settings of the configuration setting information. The color printing resources also are pushed to the RIP. The offline estimation device provides the ink or toner use estimate using the configured RIP.
Payment terminal system and method of use
A payment terminal, including: a display, an input device configured to generate input signals indicative of a user input, a payment instrument reader configured to receive payment instrument data from a financial payment instrument, a secure processor connected to the payment instrument reader, a main processor connected to the display, the main processor separate and distinct from the secure processor, a secure input processor connected to the input device and the secure processor, wherein the secure processor is operable between an unsecured mode, wherein the secure processor sends input coordinates based on the input signals received from the secure input processor to the main processor; and a secured mode, wherein the secure input processor ceases input coordinate forwarding to the main processor.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An object is to enable highly accurate density unevenness correction while suppressing a reduction in productivity of printing accompanying correction value calculation for density unevenness correction. In the image processing apparatus, density correction information that specifies an output tone value for implementing a target density for an input tone value for each nozzle and which does not include the influence by a non-ejectable nozzle that cannot eject ink normally is acquired. In a case where a non-ejectable nozzle is detected during printing processing, output tone values corresponding to the detected non-ejectable nozzle and peripheral nozzles thereof among output tone values specified in the density correction information are changed.
System and Method for Automatically Classifying Printable Images
A method for classifying a printable image to be printed comprising: receiving, at a printing device, print data representing the printable image to be printed; generating an image of the printable image based on the print data; classifying the image to obtain a format associated with the printable image; printing the printable image according to the print data; and updating a counter associated with the format.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD FOR DRAWING ON CROSS-SECTION TO BE TRIMMED
Provided is an image processing apparatus that draws a cross-section to be trimmed. The data position acquisition unit acquires the print data and the position of the cut line trimmed after printing with the print data. The cross-section drawing unit draws, for each page of the print data, a fragment text and/or image visible on trimmed cross-section from the position of the cut line acquired by the data position acquisition unit to a specific range. At this time, the cross-section drawing unit may draw the fragment when the print data has equal or greater than a specific number of pages. Further, the cross-section drawing unit may adjust drawing of the fragment according to thickness of recording paper to be printed.
