A liquid surface detector includes an electrode pad, a coil, a memory, and a detection control circuit. The electrode pad is attached to an outer side surface of a tank of the image forming apparatus. The coil is connected to the electrode pad. The memory stores initial values. The detection control circuit determines a capacitance (first capacitance) of a first resonance circuit including the coil and the tank with the electrode pad. When determining a liquid surface level value, the detection control circuit subtracts an error value from the first capacitance so as to determine a first corrected capacitance, and determines the liquid surface level value based on the first corrected capacitance and the initial value.

Provided are an automatic reset method for a consumable chip and the consumable chip. The automatic reset method includes: in response to determining that an ink amount state is an ink-out state, entering an automatic reset state and shielding a printer command; turning off a core of the chip and shielding a printer dock command in the automatic reset state; entering a reset allowing state after shielding N groups of printer dock commands in the automatic reset state; and resetting ink amount data and turning on the core of the chip in the reset allowing state.

A multifunctional peripheral (1) includes a communication part (22), a storage part (21), a free space determination part (25), a confidential document determination part (26), and a storage processing part (27). The free space determination part (25) determines that the storage part (21) contains a free space for storing print data, as a first storage condition. The confidential document determination part (26) determines that the print data is not a confidential document, as a second storage condition. The storage processing part (27) stores the print data in the storage part (21) in association with user information of a user terminal (23) when the first storage condition and the second storage condition are satisfied, and communicates with the user terminal (23) and stores the print data in the user terminal (23) when the first storage condition is not satisfied or when the second storage condition is not satisfied.

A medium output control device includes a processor configured to: perform control to output, among plural mediums to be output, a medium without a defect to a first output location; perform control to output, among the plural mediums, a medium with a defect to an output location different from the first output location; and perform control to, after the medium with a defect is output to the output location different from the first output location, keep outputting a medium without a defect among the plural mediums to the first output location until a quantity of mediums output to the first output location reaches a predetermined quantity.

A printing apparatus includes a printing head to move in a first direction, a conveying roller to convey the printing medium in a second direction intersecting with the first direction, and a housing to house the printing head and the conveying roller and be expandable and contractible in the first direction. The printing apparatus performs predetermined notification based on information related to a length of the housing in the first direction, wherein the conveying roller is incapable of conveying the printing medium having a predetermined size when the length of the housing in the first direction is a first length and conveys the printing medium having the predetermined size in a case where the length is a second length larger than the first length. The predetermined notification is performed based on the information related to the length of the housing indicating information corresponding to the first length.

A printing apparatus includes an image former which forms a tone pattern image on a sheet conveyed from a sheet feeding deck, a color measurer which performs color measurement by reading the tone pattern image formed by the image former, and one or more controllers including one or more processors and one or more memories. The one or more controllers are configured to generate tone correction data based on a difference between color measurement results by the color measurer and a reference value, and perform tone correction for print target image data by using the generated tone correction data. The reference value is registered in association with a type of sheet that is accommodated in the sheet feeding deck, and in a case where the type of sheet that is accommodated in the sheet feeding deck is changed, the reference value is cleared.

A handcart includes a cart frame, a caster, and a code reader. The cart frame includes a receiving portion on which a shopping basket is placeable and a lateral portion extending in a width direction of the cart frame. The caster is disposed at a bottom region of the cart frame. The code reader is attached to the lateral portion of the cart frame so as to be rotatable around the lateral portion. The code reader may be rotated around the lateral portion of the cart frame to a first position at which a reading window of the code reader faces an inner space of the shopping basket on the receiving portion of the cart frame, and to a second position at which the reading window of the code reader faces a front of the cart frame.

An information processing device obtains order identification information capable of identifying an order placed by an order-placing person, transmits, as payment information, the order identification information, causes a printing process of a print medium to be executed, the print medium being capable of identifying the order identification information and gives, to another information processing device when an additional order placed by the order-placing person is received, an invalidation command which invalidates the order identification information in such a way that a payment with respect to the order identification information on an order not paid yet and placed by the same order-placing person is disabled.
