AUTOMATIC RESET METHOD FOR CONSUMABLE CHIP, AND CONSUMABLE CHIP
Provided are an automatic reset method for a consumable chip and the consumable chip. The automatic reset method includes: in response to determining that an ink amount state is an ink-out state, entering an automatic reset state and shielding a printer command; turning off a core of the chip and shielding a printer dock command in the automatic reset state; entering a reset allowing state after shielding N groups of printer dock commands in the automatic reset state; and resetting ink amount data and turning on the core of the chip in the reset allowing state.
APPARATUSES, COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHODS, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR IMPROVED PRINT POSITION COMPENSATION
Embodiments of the disclosure provide for improved print position compensation, for example to improve accuracy of print job(s) performed by a printer. The print position compensation enables an offset of the time until printing occurs on a print media to account for changes and/or erroneous movement in a print media, such as due to slippage and/or other results of a force applied to the print media. Particular embodiments determine data values derived both for an output phase and a retraction phase of the printer's operation. Various embodiments generate a print position compensation based on sensor-based edge position distances determined during each of a media output phase and a media retraction phase. Alternatively or additionally various embodiments generate a print position compensation based on sensor-based media movement phase timestamp differentials determined during each of a media output phase and a media retraction phase.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes a printing unit configured to perform printing on a recording target, a projection unit configured to project a printing sample image onto the recording target, a detection unit configured to detect a user operation within a projection area into which the projection unit is configured to perform projection, and a control unit configured to control the printing unit based on a printing condition, wherein the control unit changes the printing condition, based on the user operation that is detected by the detection unit.
PRINTER SYSTEM, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER-READABLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR SERVER, SERVER, AND METHOD EXECUTED BY SERVER
A printer may include a memory configured to store remaining amount-related information related to a remaining amount of color material in a single-purpose color material cartridge mounted on the printer. The printer may send first printer information to a server in a case where the single-purpose color material cartridge is mounted on the printer, and send second printer information to the server in a case where the general-purpose color material cartridge is mounted on the printer. The server may determine whether, regardless of which of the first printer information and the second printer information has been received from the printer, the remaining amount-related information included in the received first printer information or the received second printer information satisfies a predetermined condition, and execute a shipping process for shipping a new single-purpose color material cartridge in a case where the predetermined condition is satisfied.
PRINTING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, PRINTING SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
There is provided a printing apparatus including an obtaining unit configured to obtain print data in which in imposition image data in which one or more images are imposed in a print region, a code for identifying each image in the imposition image data is embedded; a determination unit configured to determine an ink color to be used to print the code by excluding an ink color satisfying a predetermined condition from candidates for the ink color to be used to print the code; and a print control unit configured to print the code based on the print data obtained by the obtaining unit using a plurality of nozzle arrays for the ink color determined by the determination unit.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Provided is a technique capable of preventing generation of an output result that is not intended by a user. A notification unit is included which gives a notification regarding a color of at least one of a spot color object or a non-spot color object having color information matching spot-color color information of the spot color object in a case where the spot color object and the non-spot color object are present in a predetermined display region as a result of editing by an editing unit.
Printing device, printing system, and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium therefor
A printing device comprises a housing, a communication interface configured to communicate with a server, and a controller. The printing device is configured to operate either in a contract mode or in a normal mode. The housing is configured such that one or more consumables including a first type consumable and a second type consumable are attachable. The first type consumable is dedicated for the contract printing, and the second type consumable is usable for printing in both the contract mode and the normal mode. The controller is configured to activate the contract mode in response to an activation instruction from the server. In a case where the second type consumable is attached to the housing when the contract mode is activated, the controller changes a state of the printing device to a contract printing state in which the contract printing is activated after activating the contract mode.
Measuring device, image reading apparatus and image forming system for controlling movement of a sheet
A measuring device includes a first roller pair, a colorimetric unit, a second roller pair, a third roller pair, a motor, and a torque limiter. The third roller pair is driven at a first speed before a trailing end of the sheet with respect to a sheet feeding direction passes through the first roller pair and is driven at a second speed higher than the first speed after the trailing end of the sheet passes through the first roller pair. The first speed is set so as to be equal to the peripheral speed of the first roller pair. The second speed is set so as to be equal to a peripheral speed of the second roller pair in a state in which a slip of the torque limiter is not caused.
Printer and power control program
A printer includes: a first connector to be used to input electric power supplied from an outside; a second connector to which a communication terminal is to be connected, and which is to be used to output at least a part of the electric power to the connected communication terminal; a printing control unit configured to control operation of a printing unit configured to perform printing on recording paper; and an adjustment unit configured to adjust a maximum amount of the electric power to be output from the second connector, of the electric power supplied from the outside, to a first amount of power when the printing unit is not under a printing operation, and adjust the maximum amount of the electric power to be output from the second connector to a second amount of power when the printing unit is under the printing operation, the second amount of power being smaller than the first amount of power.
INSPECTING FOR A DEFECT ON A PRINT MEDIUM WITH AN IMAGE ALIGNED BASED ON AN OBJECT IN THE IMAGE AND BASED ON VERTICES OF THE INSPECTION TARGET MEDIUM AND THE REFERENCE MEDIUM
There is provided with an image processing apparatus. An obtaining unit obtains a first image serving as a read image of an inspection target medium having undergone printing, and a second image serving as a read image of a reference medium representing a target print result. An inspection unit inspects a defect on the inspection target medium based on the first image and the second image by performing inspection at inspection settings different between a print region and a peripheral region of the inspection target medium.
