SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING ACTUAL POINT OF SALE VEHICLE SERVICE COST TRENDS
20230018569 · 2023-01-19 ·

A method for providing a service cost trend of a vehicle as a function of a parameter. A trend generator accepts data, generated at a POS processor in a facility, without transcribing information, of an actual service activity cost performed there; stores the data according to its unique vehicle identifier and parameter value, determines a parameter range apportioned into intervals, orders accumulated data associated with the identifier whose parameter lies within the range by parameter value, divides the data into interval sets and extracts an attribute from the data in each set. A system may include a service facility and a trend generator having a receiver, a sorter, a trend generator and a transmitter to perform the method.

System for automatically balancing anticipated infrastructure demands

A system includes a controller device and an infrastructure management subsystem. The controller device receives a selection of an anticipated future change to one or more characteristics of a baseline demand. The infrastructure management subsystem receives the baseline demand and the anticipated future change to the one or more characteristics of the baseline demand. The infrastructure management subsystem determines an anticipated turbulence. The anticipated turbulence includes a quantitative indication of anticipated fluctuations in future infrastructure demand as a function of time. The infrastructure management subsystem determines a counter-balancing turbulence for the anticipated turbulence. The counter-balancing turbulence comprises counter-balancing fluctuations that destructively interfere with the anticipated fluctuations of the anticipated turbulence. The infrastructure management subsystem determines one or more infrastructure configurations indicating a distribution of computing resources amongst users in order to achieve the counter-balancing turbulence. One of the determined infrastructure configurations is automatically implemented.

Systems and method for message-based control and monitoring of a business process

A system for monitoring and controlling a business process involving a plurality of workstations or/and computerized services, the system comprising apparatus for receiving messages exchanged between the plurality of workstations or computerized services and having content, and for deriving from the content of the messages, monitoring information regarding the single business process.

DATA DISTRIBUTION CONTROL APPARATUS, DATA DISTRIBUTION CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM

The confidentiality of data is maintained in the case of outsourcing analysis of an operation state of a facility. Degree-of-relevance information indicating a degree of relevance in operation between a plurality of apparatuses included in a facility is stored. At the occurrence of a failure in a first apparatus included in the plurality of apparatuses, a second apparatus having a degree of relevance in operation to the first apparatus equal to or greater than a preset first threshold is selected from the plurality of apparatuses based on the degree-of-relevance information, and the log data relating to operation states of the first apparatus in which a failure has occurred and the selected second apparatus are selectively read from a first memory storage, and the read log data is transmitted to a data user via a network.

Systems and methods for repurposing paid time off

The present disclosure relates generally to utilizing paid time off. In one example, the systems and methods described herein may provide an infrastructure to repurpose paid time off into other uses, such as cash, travel, bill payments, and the like.

SYSTEM AND METHOD TO PREDICT AND PREVENT CUSTOMER CHURN IN SERVICING BUSINESS
20230016397 · 2023-01-19 ·

A system and method for minimizing customer churn in device service businesses commences with execution of a customer service contract. Ongoing customer data capture is made for each contract. Customer data includes contract events, environmental events, service events, device usage analytics and personnel events. Machine learning is applied to captured customer data, which machine learning is based on a state of customer data at the time of contract determination. Customer data is assigned weights, and aggregate data for each customer is compared to a preselected threshold level. Customers above a threshold are deemed happy and customers below the threshold are deemed to be at risk. Remedial measures relative to at risk customer data generates remedial measure suggestions.

Limiting usage of physical emissions sources by utilizing a modified gradient descent model

Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable storage media are disclosed for generating action recommendations modifying physical emissions sources of an entity based on past and modeled emissions for the entity. Specifically, the disclosed system monitors emissions produced by an entity by determining a number of emissions sources corresponding to an entity and a plurality of emissions values for the emissions sources. Additionally, the disclosed system determines a plurality of constraints corresponding to the entity. The disclosed system also determines goals for the entity including target emissions values. The disclosed system utilizes a modified gradient descent model to iteratively adjust emissions values for the physical emissions sources to obtain the target emissions values according to the constraints. The disclosed system generates action recommendations for modifying the physical emissions sources utilizing the modified gradient descent model and provides the action recommendations for display within a graphical user interface.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AWARE PRODUCT REFURBISHING

Methods, systems, and computer program products for environmental impact aware product refurbishing are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes obtaining information for products comprising images of the products and location-specific demand data; determining product embeddings of the products based on the images, wherein each of the product embeddings encodes attributes of the corresponding product; creating one or more refurbished designs of each given one of the products based on the initial image of the given product and one or more design constraints; calculating an environmental impact score and a demand impact score associated with each of the created refurbished designs, wherein the demand impact score is based on the location-specific demand data; generating a recommendation to refurbish at least one of the products in accordance with at least one of the refurbished designs based on the environmental impact scores and the demand impact scores.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD

An information processing apparatus disclosed is run by a business entity that provides the service of buying and selling used vehicles or a business entity that provides the service of leasing vehicles. When the business entity buys a first vehicle having a first coating film including an easily removable layer applied thereon from a first user or receives such a first vehicle returned by a first user, if the first coating film was removed at a specific site, a controller of the information processing apparatus executes a processing for giving an incentive to the first user, The value of the incentive to be given to the first user is calculated on the basis of the length of time elapsed since the time at which the first coating film was removed at the specific site.
