Collecting data from different sources
A system for collecting data from different sources is described. In one example embodiment, the system obtains content-related data from a plurality of source computer systems, automatically identifies, based on the content-related data, content items having respective popularity values greater than a predetermined threshold value as popular content items, and automatically generates a list of popular content items based on the popular content items.
Training a model to predict likelihoods of users performing an action after being presented with a content item
An online concierge system trains a user interaction model to predict a probability of a user performing an interaction after one or more content items are displayed to the user. This provides a measure of an effect of displaying content items to the user on the user performing one or more interactions. The user interaction model is trained from displaying content items to certain users of the online concierge system and withholding display of the content items to other users of the online concierge system. To train the user interaction model, the user interaction model is applied to labeled examples identifying a user and value based on interactions the user performed after one or more content items were displayed to the user and interactions the user performed when one or more content items were not used.
Analyzing and managing production and supply chain
A method and apparatus for controlling a supply chain including a production system. Sensor data is received from a sensor in the production system or elsewhere in the supply chain. The sensor data identifies an event in the production system or elsewhere in the supply chain. Event information for the event is stored in an events blockchain. The event information from the events blockchain is used in a process model simulation of the production system or the supply chain to identify an undesirable condition in the production system or elsewhere in the supply chain. System theoretic process analysis is used to identify a change in the production system or elsewhere in the supply chain to prevent occurrence of the undesirable condition.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING A CONTENT ITEM, RESIDENT OR ACCESSIBLE ON ONE RESOURCE, AVAILABLE THROUGH ANOTHER
Systems and methods are provided to make content items, already available on one resource, also available through another, such as through a new location or resource. The content items may be, e.g., videos uploaded by a user or other content. The systems and methods employ a streamlined interface for convenience to the user. In one example, a user of a computer system views a video segment through a first website and re-posts the video segment to a second website by entering a single command or clicking a single button. The websites coordinate the re-posting using credentials previously or contemporaneously entered by the user. Moreover, a content item may be automatically prepared for re-posting on the target website using previously-entered user selections. Playback software from a source website may be posted to a target website to allow access of the content item at the source website.

Controlling Content Distribution
A computer-implemented method for controlling content distribution includes forwarding information associated with a user to a device operated by the user, the information being configured for use in selecting content from any of multiple content providers for a content distribution to the user. The method includes receiving, in response to the information, an edit of the information forwarded from the device. The edit identifies a first content provider and including a first modification of the content distribution regarding the first content provider. The method includes storing the edit in association with the information such that the first modification is taken into account in the content distribution. The method can be implemented using a computer program product tangibly embodied in a computer-readable storage medium.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANAGING THE DISPLAY OF MESSAGES OF A GROUP CHAT
A method includes: upon opening a target communication window, displaying a first subset of communication items target communication window, without concurrently displaying a second and a third subset of communication items in the target communication window, wherein: the first, second, and third subsets of communication items have been received after last closure of the target communication window, and the first subset is received after the second subset, and the second subset is received after the third subset; in response to receiving a second user request to display earlier received communication items and in accordance with a determination that the second user request meets predefined list rollback criteria: ceasing to display the first subset of communication items in the target communication window; and displaying the third subset of communication items in the target communication window, without first displaying the second subset of communication items in the target communication window.

METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR DETERMINING A QUALITY RATING DATA FOR A MEDICAL DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM
A method and arrangement for determining a quality rating data (QRD) of a medical data acquisition system (MDAS). The method and arrangement comprise of receiving first data, which includes utilization errors occurred during performing a data acquisition procedure (DAP), by a data acquisition component of the MDAS, on a patient to acquire medical data. The method and arrangement further comprise generating second data as a function of the first data. The second data is indicative of categories of the utilization errors, wherein at least one utilization error is assigned to a corresponding category based on a predetermined parameter. The method and arrangement further comprise determining the QRD as a function of a total number of MDAS utilizations, a predetermined coefficient for the corresponding error category and a number of utilization errors in the corresponding error category.
SOFTWARE ACTIVATION CODE INVENTORY AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR AGRICULTURAL AND CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT APPLICATIONS
An activation code management system for a fleet of work vehicles includes a computing and data storage system to which vehicles in the fleet are connected for cellular data transmission. Each vehicle provides information regarding the activation codes operative thereon, and the information is compiled and reported by the computing and data storage system. The system also can obtain, retain and report actual usage of activated software.
