The method may include displaying, on a user interface of the washing appliance, an estimated duration of a selected washing program for the washing appliance; displaying, on the user interface, a degree of ecological impact caused by the selected washing program; allowing a user to operate the user interface to change the duration of the selected washing program, wherein the washing appliance adapts the selected cleaning program to comply with the changed duration; and displaying on the user interface the degree of ecological impact caused by the selected washing program when complying with the changed duration.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR STERILIZING CUPS AND OTHER OBJECTS
In one aspect, the present disclosure is directed to devices and methods for sterilizing objects using HOCl (hypochlorous acid). A variety of objects may be sterilized, including cups, plates, utensils, toys, medical equipment, etc., in various embodiments. In one set of embodiments, chloride ions (Cl.sup.−) in water may be reacted using an electric current to produce HOCl. In some cases, there may be sufficient Cl.sup.− in the water such that another source of CF is not required; for example, the water may be tap water containing some Cl.sup.−. In some cases, the water may be acidified to facilitate the production of HOCl, for example, by introducing CO.sub.2 into the water. The production of HOCl may occur relatively quickly, e.g., within a few minutes. This may allow devices to produce water that can be used to sterilize objects quickly and simply.
METHOD OF TREATING DISHWARE IN A DOMESTIC AUTOMATIC DISHWASHING MACHINE
A method of treating dishware in a domestic automatic dishwashing machine for from 30 minutes to 50 minutes includes washing the dishware for from 15 minutes to 30 minutes and rinsing the dishware for from 15 minutes to 30 minutes. Washing the dishware includes dosing from 2.0 litres to 5.0 litres of water into a cleaning chamber of the domestic automatic dishwashing machine and contacting the dishware in the cleaning chamber with the wash water. At least 10 minutes of washing the dishware is carried out at a temperature ranging from 40° C. to less than 50° C. Rinsing the dishware includes dosing from 2.0 litres to 5.0 litres of rinse water into the cleaning chamber and contacting the dishware in the cleaning chamber with the rinse water. At least 7 minutes of rinsing the dishware is carried out at a temperature ranging from 55° C. to 65° C.
Dosing method for a dispensing module
The disclosure relates to a method including capturing and/or obtaining a reservoir information item at a dispensing module for a detergent and/or cleaning agent, with the reservoir information item representative of at least one property of a reservoir for the detergent and/or cleaning agent, an application specification for the detergent and/or cleaning agent contained in the reservoir, and/or a property of the detergent and/or cleaning agent contained in the reservoir, and the reservoir is connected or connectable to the dispensing module. The method further includes determining and/or causing the determination of a dispensing control information item depending at least in part on the reservoir information item, with the dispensing control information item configured to at least partly control the dispensing of the detergent and/or cleaning agent by the dispensing module.
Device for drying and polishing items such as glasses and cutlery
A device for drying and polishing items such as glasses and cutlery, the device including an enclosure having apertures through which an end of the items can be inserted; a plurality of movable cleaning elements within the enclosure for drying and/or polishing the items; and a selectively operable steam distribution system for applying steam within the enclosure to at least one of the cleaning elements and/or the items, whereby the cleaning elements dry or polish the items, wherein the steam distribution system is operable on insertion of an end of said items into the enclosure.
Dishwasher comprising a fruit and vegetable washing apparatus
The present invention relates to a dishwasher for washing fruits and vegetables with less water and minimum energy use. The dishwasher (M) comprises main body; first basket (S); bottom area (1) in which there are provided two-way valve (1a), first channel (1b) and second channel (1c); washing compartment (2) comprising third channel (2a), first water outlet (2b), second water outlet (2c) and drainage connection unit (2d); fruit and vegetable washing apparatus (F) located on the first basket (S) and comprising chamber (4) in which fruits and vegetables are washed, carrying member (2) providing connection to the first basket (S) and one side of which is connected with lower side of the chamber (4), first water inlet (7) through which water reaching the first water outlet (2b) is transmitted into the carrying member (2), second water inlet (8) transmitting water from the second water outlet (2c) into the chamber (4); and control unit which controls operation of the valve (1a) such that water is transmitted to the second channel (1c) for washing fruits and vegetables or to the first channel (1b) for washing dishes inside the dishwasher (M), in response to the user-selected washing program of the dishwasher (M).
FLUID FLOW STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF USE FOR CONTINUOUS MOTION WASHING MACHINE
A fluid flow structure for a washing machine is located within a wash tank of the washing machine, which includes a fluid flow guide surface, and a support for the guide surface. The guide surface includes at least one region contoured inconsistently from the contour of at least one corresponding wall of the washing machine wash tank. The contour of the guide surface is generally curved so as to aide in reducing and/or preventing the pinning of items that often occurs in rectangular wash tanks of the prior art. The support for the guide surface creates a gap between the guide surface and at least one wall of the washing machine wash tank.
SINK SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS
A sink system includes a sink basin and a disposal system. The disposal system includes a first inlet coupled to the sink basin, a second inlet fluidly coupled to a second fluid source, and a garbage disposal configured to receive a first flow of fluid from the sink basin via the first inlet and receive a second flow of fluid from a second fluid source via the second inlet. The sink basin delivers a flow of used water to the disposal system and the second fluid source delivers a flow of clean water to the disposal system.
