Integrally formed on the bottom plate and on the rinsing container jacket is a fastening flange for fastening the rear wall to the bottom plate and to the rinsing container jacket, with the fastening flange configured to form a part of the folded joint. A folding sealing means is provided in the folded joint and formed as a sealing bead, with the sealing bead having in the folding-joint-forming part of the fastening flange a first cross-sectional surface which is greater than a cross-sectional surface in a central region of the folded joint.

System for detecting drainage flow obstructions in washing appliances

A method of monitoring drainage of a washing appliance such as a dishwasher or washing machine having a pump for draining a washing chamber is disclosed. The method includes receiving a time series of power consumption data relating to the operation of the washing appliance over a monitored period of operation including pumped draining of the washing chamber. A measure of the duration of a portion of the monitored period comprising said pumped draining is derived from the time series of power consumption data. The measure of duration is then compared to a reference value and an indicator of a drainage condition is determined based on the comparison. The method may be used to detect scaling or blockages in drainage flow paths.

Dishwasher with image-based diagnostics

A dishwasher, comprising: a wash tub; a sprayer configured to spray fluid within the wash tub; an imaging device configured to capture images within the wash tub; and a controller coupled to the imaging device and configured to perform a remote start of a wash cycle in the dishwasher in response to receiving a remote start command from a remote device by: controlling the imaging device to capture one or more images within the wash tub; initiating communication of the captured one or more images to the remote device for viewing on the remote device; waiting to receive a confirmation from the remote device; and starting the wash cycle in response to receiving the confirmation from the remote device.

WASHING APPLIANCE, METHOD OF DETECTING OPERATIONAL ERROR, AND CONTROL ARRANGEMENT
20230062451 · 2023-03-02 · ·

A washing appliance comprising a liquid container, a liquid level indicator unit configured to provide data indicative of a liquid level in the liquid container, a drain conduit, and a drain pump. The washing appliance further comprises a control arrangement configured to operate the drain pump during a first time period, control the drain pump to a standstill during a second time period following the first time period, and monitor a change of the liquid level during the second time period using data from the liquid level indicator unit. Also provided are a method of detecting an operational error in a washing appliance, a computer program, a computer-readable medium, and a control arrangement for a washing appliance.

FAUCET WITH UTENSIL FLUSHING MECHANISM

A faucet with a utensil flushing mechanism comprises a faucet mechanism, a water inlet mechanism, and the utensil flushing mechanism. The faucet mechanism comprises a tube body and a first water passage disposed at least partially in the tube body. The water inlet mechanism is connected to the first water passage. The utensil flushing mechanism is disposed on the faucet mechanism and comprises a nozzle configured to be in communication with the water inlet mechanism. The utensil flushing mechanism is movably disposed on the tube body, and the nozzle is configured to be controlled to be in different positions through movement of the utensil flushing mechanism.

DISH DRYING SYSTEM WITH WATER HARVESTING HYBRID NANOMATERIAL

A dishwasher includes a tub with an outlet for humid air to flow out from the tub, and an inlet for dry air to flow into the tub; and a drying system with an air circuit and an adsorbent component disposed between an air inlet and an air outlet in the air circuit. The adsorbent component includes a water harvesting nanomaterial for absorbing water from the humid air and releasing water upon regeneration. During a drying cycle, the air circuit draws humid air from the tub such that the adsorbent component absorbs moisture from the humid air to form a dry air stream, and during a subsequent wash cycle, the air circuit is blocked from receiving air flow such that latent heat can be transferred to the adsorbent component via conduction, convection, or both, to regenerate the water harvesting nanomaterial.

CONNECTED DISHWASHER AND WATER HEATER APPLIANCES

A method for operating a dishwasher appliance includes receiving data indicating a status of hot water within a water heater appliance, receiving data indicating a status for a cycle of a dishwasher appliance, and initiating a start for the cycle of the dishwasher appliance in response to the data indicating the status of hot water within the water heater appliance indicating available hot water.

Dishwasher in the form of a commercial utensil washer or dishwasher which is designed as a batch dishwasher

A dishwasher (1) in the form of a commercial utensil washer or dishwasher which is designed as a batch dishwasher and is realized as a hood-type dishwasher, wherein the dishwasher (1) has a treatment chamber (2) with at least one wash system which is designed as a recirculation system, wherein the treatment chamber (2) has a first treatment zone (6) and at least one further, second treatment zone (7), wherein items of washware can be treated independently of one another and at least temporarily at the same time in the first and in the at least one second treatment zone (6, 7).

Control of cleaning machine cycles using machine vision

Image classification is used to dynamically control one or more wash parameters in an automated cleaning machine. An imaging device installed in the wash chamber of the cleaning machine captures one or more image(s) of articles to be cleaned at various times throughout a cleaning process. A computing device analyzes the captured image(s) to classify the images as to an article type and a rack volume. Based on the article type classification and the rack volume, the computing device dynamically controls one or more parameters of the cleaning process to achieve a satisfactory cleaning and/or sanitizing result.

Systems and methods for wash monitoring

A wash monitoring system including a water flow meter that transmits water flow readings of flow through a water line, chemical conduits with color sensors on the chemical conduits and configured to transmit color readings of a chemical within the chemical conduits, and chemical flow meters on the chemical conduits that transmit chemical flow readings of flow through the chemical conduits. The system includes a memory containing processor-executable instructions that cause processors to compare the water flow readings with a range of water flow readings, compare the chemical flow readings with a range of chemical flow readings, compare the color readings with a range of color readings associated with each of the one or more chemical conduits, and initiate an alarm if one of the water flow readings, the chemical flow readings, or the color readings are not within the respective ranges of readings.
