Techniques for configuring and operating a network connected election voting system are provided. Voting devices are network connected to a voting system controller. Alerts are provided when a ballot becomes stranded on a voting device. The stranded ballots may be untransferrable ballots or interrupted ballots. A recovery mechanism is provided to obtain the data for untransferrable ballots. The alerts may be provided at a display on the voting device, controller or both.

The present invention generally relates to blockchain technology. Specifically, this invention relates to adapting blockchain technology for the storage of voting data in an electronic voting system. The system includes a distributed network of voting machines in communication with each other. Each voting machine has a barcode scanner, a network communications device and a computer system running a voting client. Votes are received through the barcode scanner or a voter interface system and stored securely on a blockchain. The tally for various candidates in the election is updated and stored as each vote is received and counted. This creates an auditable trail of votes and the tally which can be used to detect, correct, and prevent fraud and error in the vote counting process.

The present application discloses a block chain-based asset processing method, device, apparatus and storage medium, and relates to the technical field of block chain. The method includes: starting a voting on whether a target account is an account to be retrieved, in response to an asset retrieval transaction request of the target account for the account to be retrieved; performing an identity authentication on the target account, according to the votes of one or more target participants participating in one or more historical transactions initiated by the account to be retrieved; and processing the assets of the account to be retrieved, according to a result of the identity authentication of the target account.

A computer implemented method and system for proxy voting are disclosed. The method includes accessing a proxy admin system for casting a plurality of votes, clicking on a delegate button in the proxy admin system for selecting at least one fund, searching for a plurality of vote meetings of the fund manager on a vote card list screen, clicking on a quick vote for selecting a plurality of appropriate policies; a plurality of meetings and a plurality of comments and clicking on a vote button for successful voting in the proxy admin system.

A biometric registration and/or verification system and method may comprise: a biometric sensor for capturing biometric data; a data entry device, a computer processor for receiving captured biometric data and entered data; and a database storing records thereof. The identifying biometric data may be related to the entered data in the database record. A voting system comprises at least one voting machine comprising: at least one voting machine processor performing voting machine operations comprising initializing a vote blockchain with a vote blockchain genesis block, the vote blockchain genesis block comprising a voting machine identifier and a genesis block hash value; creating a data structure comprising a plurality of votes and a hash value of a preceding block; determining a new block hash value of the data structure; appending a new block comprising the data structure and the new block hash value to the vote blockchain; and storing the vote blockchain in the at least one voting machine memory.

An electronic voting identity authentication system a method employing a voting kiosk is provided for facilitating electronic voting using a three-part voter identity authentication thereby enhancing voter identity authentication and the reduction of voter fraud. The voting kiosk employs a palm vein scanner and a QR code reader that employ a user profile comprising at least a DNA sample, a set of genealogical information and a palm vein scan that are specific to a particular registered voter. Upon arriving at a polling site to vote, the registered voter employs the voting kiosk to capture a palm vein scan that is employed to authenticate the identity of the voter.
