APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SELF-SERVICE PAYMENT
Embodiments of apparatuses and methods for self-service payment based on location and time information are described. In embodiments, a user device may include a token processing module to associate location or time information with a token received from a merchant, and a payment module to send a request to the merchant for determining a charge based on the token associated with the location or time information. In embodiments, a merchant device may include a token processing module to generate and send a token associated with a first location or a first time to a user device, and a billing module to determine a charge based on the token further associated with a second location or a second time, received from the user device. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Methods and systems for automatic electric vehicle identification and charging via wireless charging pads
A system for charging a battery of a vehicle using inductive charging is provided. The system includes a charging pad for inductive charge transfer. The charge pad is configured with electronics that enables wireless communication. A self-aligning mechanism is part of the charging pad, and the self-aligning mechanism is configured to adjust positioning of the charging pad when the vehicle is disposed over the charging pad. A computer associated with the charging pad is configured to execute method operations for communicating with electronics of the vehicle to enable charging of the battery of the vehicle. The electronics of the vehicle is configured to identify a user account for charging the vehicle. An application associated with the user account is configured to receive updates regarding a charging status of the vehicle responsive to said inductive charge transfer being enabled.
Automatic valet parking system and storage medium
An automatic valet parking system includes: a terminal device having an application information generator for transmitting application information for the valet parking to a parking place server and a vehicle manufacturer server; a vehicular device having an autonomous driving controller for performing autonomous driving control according to a drive plan when receiving a temporary key; a parking place server having a key request generator for receiving the application information and transmitting a temporary key request to the vehicle manufacturer server; and a vehicle manufacturer server having a key request verification portion for verifying authenticity of the temporary key request and a temporary key generator for transmitting the temporary key to the vehicular device when a verification result is true. The parking place server or the vehicular device includes a drive planning portion for generating a drive plan to a targeted parking position.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING INTERWORKING OF DIFFERENT PAYMENT OPERATIONS
The present specification discloses a method and system for implementing interworking of different payment operations. On a basis of determining a payment link by an entry passing operation, related data generated by a first exit payment operation belonging to a different type from the entry passing operation is superimposed on the payment link, fee deduction information is further determined, and the fee deduction information corresponding to the first exit payment operation is transmitted, by using the payment link, to a third-party payment system for exit fee deduction.
Systems And Methods To Assist A Customer Retrieve A Package From An Autonomous Vehicle
The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for assisting a customer retrieve a package from an autonomous vehicle. In an example procedure, the autonomous vehicle may detect the customer waiting at a first spot and may determine that the first spot is unsuitable/unsafe for the customer to retrieve a package from a locked compartment in the autonomous vehicle. The autonomous vehicle may therefore instruct the customer to move to a second spot that is safer and closer to the compartment and may then execute an authentication procedure to authenticate the customer and unlock a door of the compartment. In an alternative approach, the autonomous vehicle may travel to a parking spot that is safer and closer to where the customer is waiting (rather than instructing the customer to move) before authenticating and unlocking the door of the compartment to allow the customer to retrieve the package.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR AUTONOMOUS AND SEMI-AUTONOMOUS TOLL FACILITY NAVIGATION
A computing device for a vehicle is provided. The computing device includes one or more processors for controlling operation of the computing device, and a memory for storing data and program instructions usable by the one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to determine when a vehicle is approaching a toll facility; locate available information relating to the toll facility; determine a type of toll payment desired; determine if, based on the available information, the vehicle can be autonomously driven into a payment lane that is in accordance with the type of toll payment desired; and if the vehicle can be autonomously driven into a payment lane that is in accordance with the type of toll payment desired, autonomously drive the vehicle into a payment lane that is in accordance with the type of toll payment desired.
Portable Real Estate Reservation
A system and method are disclosed permitting the reservation of a publically accessible stationary location, such as a parking spot along a public highway, a parking lot, or a parking ramp. In some aspects, selection of mobile unit types, media messages to be presented, and/or the times that the stationary location is to be occupied by a reserving mobile unit is permitted. The system may also determine a value assigned to the locations or other of the above-mentioned characteristics. The mobile unit makes a determination of its geographic location and transmits the geographic location, and also sends an acknowledgement that the mobile unit occupies the selected location. The mobile unit may be a self-powered vehicle, towable vehicle, portable station, ground vehicle, nautical vehicle, and airborne vehicle.
Graphical Interfaces, Systems and Methods of Automation in the Creation of Open and Closed Networks and in the Dispatching of Rides through the Networks
A Destination Management Company (DMC) may be a hotel, corporation or other entity interested in arranging transportation. A DMC may retain or frequently use a Preferred Transpiration Provider (PTP) by use of a private or closed network. In times of normal ride demand, a PTP may be the exclusive ride vendor. A PTP may anticipate instances wherein ride demand may exceed a PTP's capacity and thus enter into relationships with affiliate providers by the creation of a Preferred Transport Provider Affiliate Network (PTPAN) wherein rides are orchestrated by use of the closed network. When a PTPAN's capacity is exceeded, the disclosed systems may create a new Dispatch Network based upon the PTPAN. In the event that demand outstrips the capacity of the closed network, a ride request may be transferred to an open network wherein other affiliates may service the ride request.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING A TOLL SERVICE AND FLEXIBLE TOLL DEVICE
A system, mobile device, backend server, and RFID toll module work in cooperation to automatically pay vehicular tolls to a toll agency that operates toll stations along a roadways travelled by the user of the mobile device. Upon approaching a toll station the mobile device enables the RFID toll module. The toll reader at the toll station transmits a toll reader signal that is received by the RFID toll module, which responds by transmitting a unique identifier. The unique identifier is associated with the mobile device at a toll account maintained by a toll service backend server. Upon completion of a toll transaction, the RFID toll module indicates the transaction to the mobile device, which forwards toll transaction information to the toll service backend server for payment from the toll account to the toll agency.
