Techniques are disclosed for providing a notification that a person is at a particular location. For example, a resident device may receive from a user device an image that shows a face of a first person, the image being captured by a first camera of the user device. The resident device may also receive, from another device having a second camera, a second image showing a portion of a face of a second person, the second camera having a viewable area showing a particular location. The resident device may determine a score indicating a level of similarity between a first set of characteristics associated with the face of the first person and a second set of characteristics associated with the face of a second person. The resident device may then provide to the user device a notification based on determining the score.

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for classifying a tympanic membrane by using a classifier. The classifier is a machine learning algorithm. A method for classifying a tympanic membrane includes steps of: receiving, from an interrogation system, one or more datasets relating to the tympanic membrane; determining a set of parameters from the one or more datasets, wherein at least one parameter of the set of parameters is related to a dynamic property or a static position of the tympanic membrane; and outputting a classification of the tympanic membrane based on a classifier model derived from the set of parameters. The classification comprises one or more of a state, a condition, or a mobility metric of the tympanic membrane.
Systems and methods of identification verification using hybrid near-field communication and optical authentication
Systems and methods for identification (ID) document verification using hybrid near-field communications (NFC) authentication and optical authentication are provided. An exemplary method includes receiving, by a client device, an image of an ID document. Based on the image of the ID document, a determination is made whether the ID document includes a near-field communications (NFC) chip that stores data comprising identifying information for an owner of the identification. Based on this determination of whether the ID document includes an NFC chip, the ID document is verified by selectively using at least one of NFC chip authentication and optical authentication, to obtain a verification result.

By using the multivariate approach, the methods and systems may produce a highly accurate detection.

Multifactor authentication techniques described herein may allow a user to submit a recent proof of purchase as a part of a multifactor authentication process to access an account associated with a financial institution. As part of the login process, the user may submit a proof of purchase associated with a transaction. The financial institution may determine information associated with the transaction, such as a merchant associated with the proof of purchase, a time of the transaction, the last four numbers of the transaction card used, a dollar amount, or any combination thereof. If the information matches one or more records in the transaction history of the user's account, the financial institution may authenticate the user and provide access to the account. In this way, the financial institution may leverage transaction history known to the financial institution and the user to authenticate the user.

An electronic device with fingerprint sensing function and a fingerprint comparison method are provided. The electronic device includes a fingerprint sensor and a processor. The fingerprint sensor is configured to obtain a first fingerprint image. The processor is coupled to the fingerprint sensor and configured to execute a fingerprint comparison operation to compare the first fingerprint image with a first registered image. When comparison between the first fingerprint image and the first registered image fails, the processor adjusts an image resolution of one of the first fingerprint image and the first registered image, and re-executes the fingerprint comparison operation to determine whether a current fingerprint sensing passes fingerprint verification.
