Lottery ticket dispensing method and system with additional purchase recommendation capability

A lottery ticket dispensing method provides different types of lottery tickets in a jurisdiction and includes providing first lottery tickets for sale from a dispenser for a first type of lottery game. Upon a player making a selection of one of the first lottery tickets for purchase, a controller in communication with the dispenser determines whether one or more other lottery games are available for play within the jurisdiction. The method assigns one or more companion games from the available other lottery games based on the player's selection of the first lottery ticket and predefined filter values. The companion games are presented to the player as a suggestion or recommendation for an additional lottery ticket purchase. Upon the player selecting one of the companion games for purchase, the additional lottery ticket is provided to the player from the dispenser.

Various examples of the present disclosure provide a mobile sensing and smart payment system. The mobile sensing and smart payment system includes a terminal-identity-information-collection module, and a background data processing center. The background data processing center is configured to successively and respectively trigger, in a suitable time slot, a user information extraction process to extract mobile terminal identity information corresponding to each passenger; based upon extracted mobile terminal information to determine start and destination stations for each passenger; and calculate a charge for each passenger based upon the start and destination stations, and a fee schedule. The present disclosure can effectively determine a charge for each passenger without a need for a corresponding passenger to swipe a card or insert a coin through a traditional gate machine, and thus is advantageous over conventional systems.

Stick-on ticket system and method

A ticketing system includes a stick-on ticket, one or more stick-on ticket printers, and a stick-on ticket control system. The stick-on ticket includes a stick-on ticket carrier having a barcode disposed thereon and includes a sticker that has an identification tag and is configured to be removable from the stick-on ticket carrier and adhered to another surface. Each stick-on ticket printer is configured to read barcode information from the barcode to associate the barcode information with a user account and configured to read identification tag information from the identification tag, write identification tag information to the identification tag, or a combination thereof, to associate the identification tag with the user account such that the barcode and the identification tag are associated with the same user account. The stick-on ticket control system is configured to authenticate access to an amusement park based at least in part on the barcode information or the identification information read by the stick-on ticket reader.
