Taxi vehicle and taxi system
A taxi vehicle that autonomously transports a user to a destination with no driver in the vehicle includes a cleaning device and a notification device. The cleaning device is configured to perform cleaning processing for removing at least one of harmful materials and odors from a vehicle cabin after the user has finished using the taxi vehicle. The harmful materials are those harmful to a human body. The notification device is configured to notify a person of the cleaning degree of the vehicle cabin. The person is a person outside the vehicle who wishes to use the vehicle.
Taximeter for use in vehicles and method for the same
A taximeter for a vehicle, comprising data interface for obtaining signal indicative of the vehicle speed and/or distance traveled, preferably a speed pulse signal, memory for storing tariff data linking taxi fare with vehicle speed, distance traveled and/or time elapsed, processing unit for dynamically determining, utilizing the obtained signal and tariff data, stroke characteristics for the current situation in terms of dynamically determined stroke value and of dynamically determined stroke interval, and updating the accrued fare after each stroke utilizing the determined stroke characteristics, and display for visualizing the accrued fare. A corresponding method is presented.
AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE TOWING
A computer that includes a processor and memory that stores instructions executable by the processor, so that the computer is programmed to: instruct a host vehicle to follow a leader vehicle; monitor driving behavior of the leader vehicle; and instruct the host vehicle to cease following the leader vehicle based on an abnormal driving action of the leader vehicle.

METHODS TO MITIGATE COMMUNICATION DELAYS BETWEEN SYSTEMS IN CONNECTION WITH A TRANSPORT SERVICE
A system operating on a computing device can determine a set of location data points of the computing device during progress of a transport service, and can transmit the set of location data points to a network service. The system can transmit, to the network service, a message indicating that the transport service has been completed. The system determines whether a predetermined duration of time has elapsed since transmitting the message indicating that the transport service has been completed, during which a predefined message has not been received by the application from the network service. The predefined message is associated with a confirmation that the transport service has been processed by the network service. If the predetermined duration of time has elapsed during which the predefined message has not been received, the system displays first content as opposed to second content on the computing device.

ACQUISITION OF CARD INFORMATION TO ENHANCE USER EXPERIENCE
Techniques for facilitating a secure transaction between a first mobile computing device associated with a driver and a second mobile computing device associated with a passenger are discussed herein. The techniques may include registering an association between a first application executing on the first mobile computing device and a second application executing on the second mobile computing device. The second application may display information indicating an amount of fare for a ride offered by the driver to the passenger. Upon receiving input from the passenger to authorize processing of a payment transaction, the second application may send a request to process the payment transaction using card information. In some examples, the payment transaction is authorized without providing the first application with access to card information.
Road usage charging (RUC) determination and reporting techniques
Methods, systems, and devices for road usage charging (RUC) are described. RUC computation may be performed at a vehicle using a vehicle computing device (VCD) that is trusted by a service provider, charger, or both. The VCD may be trusted to collect high accuracy, high resolution time and location data for RUC, and also compute for itself what the RUC charge is according to one or more applicable charge policies that are provided to the VCD. Anonymity related to specific vehicle and location information may be provided by encrypting portions of RUC data that are decryptable by different entities with reduced likelihood of revealing specific vehicle, location, and time information.
