SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO PREDICT RENTAL VEHICLE PREFERENCE OF A CUSTOMER

The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods to predict a vehicle preference of a customer of a rental vehicle agency. An example method to do so involves a computer executing a prediction procedure to obtain and evaluate information associated with a customer. The information can include vehicle ownership history and/or monitoring data obtained from vehicles used by the customer (a personal vehicle, a taxi, and/or a ride share service vehicle, for example). The information may be evaluated by the computer to determine a personal profile of the customer. The personal profile can include items such as physical attributes of the customer, family size, driving characteristics, and/or past vehicle ownership. The personal profile of the customer may then be used by the computer to predict a type of vehicle preferred by the customer and to select, from a vehicle fleet, a vehicle that matches the preferred type of vehicle.

A system and method for controlling a transmission of electrical signals in a vehicle wiring harness (12) of a vehicle (10). The system includes: a vehicle sharing control unit (14) including a controller (16) and a transmitter (18) for transmitting wirelessly vehicle sharing control signals (20); a wireless latching relay (22) including a receiver (24) configured for receiving the vehicle sharing control signals (20) from the transmitter (18), and a latching relay (26). In use, the vehicle wiring harness (12) is cut to define first and second ends (28, 30), and the first and second ends (28, 30) are connected in series with the latching relay (26).

Combining user device identity with vehicle information for traffic zone detection

The described technology is generally directed towards combining user identity information, corresponding to user profile data, with vehicle information, such as for use by a traffic zone management system that charges a fee for vehicle usage in a traffic zone. A user device, such as a mobile communications device, can be coupled to vehicle information such as via a transponder that is detected by roadside units, or by uploading the combined information to a wireless communications system. Based on the combination of information, different billing rates or the like can be applied to different users and vehicle types. The technology can work with various communication systems, including roadside units and wireless communication networks.

On-line authorization in access environment

A method is disclosed. The method includes interacting with a gate access device that is capable of preventing access to a location, where the gate access device subsequently sends an authorization request message to an issuer for approval, the authorization request message including a request to charge a predetermined amount of money to pay for access to a location, and entering the location if the gate access device receives an authorization response message indicating that the charge is authorized.

METHOD FOR DATA RETRIEVING AND DISTRIBUTING USING GEOFENCE BASED TRIGGERS
20230048714 · 2023-02-16 ·

The invention relates to a method for retrieving data, such as telematics data, from a vehicle, to which a tour is assigned, and forwarding at least a subset of those data to an observer; the method comprises the steps of determining a location of the vehicle; providing two or more concentric geofence, the concentric geofences comprises an outer geofence and an inner geofence; define a start concentric geofence with a pick-up location inside an inner geofence and an end geofence with a delivery location inside an inner geofence; after a tour is assigned to the vehicle, retrieve at a server the data from said vehicle; forwarding from the server a subset of the data to the observer, where the subset is defined as data retrieved from the vehicle being within a geographical region defined as where the vehicle enters an outer geofence of said start concentric geofence and exit of an inner geofence of an end concentric geofence.

STATUS NOTIFICATION APPARATUS, STATUS NOTIFICATION METHOD, AND COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM

A status notification apparatus 10 acquires face image data of a passenger 55 of an aircraft, the face image data having been acquired at departure/arrival airports 61 and 62 of the aircraft, and acquires, from a storage device 52 in which arrival destination information regarding the arrival destination of the aircraft, the face image data of the passenger 55, and identification information identifying the passenger 55 are stored in association with each other in advance, the identification information and the arrival destination information corresponding to the acquired face image data. The status notification apparatus 10 acquires a movement status of the passenger 55, and notifies a service provider 63 at the arrival destination of the acquired movement status and the acquired identification information based on the acquired arrival destination information.

Methods and systems for sharing an airspace wide unmanned aircraft system database across a plurality of service suppliers

Described is a system comprising (a) a UAS registry including a plurality of UAS accounts, (b) a plurality of UAS registration computing systems operable to create UAS accounts for the UAS registry, (c) a plurality of USS computing systems that each provide service to one of a plurality of service areas within an airspace, wherein each USS computing system is operable to: (i) receive, from UAS operators, operation data for UASs operating in the service area served by the USS computing system, (ii) receive, from the other USS computing systems for the airspace, operation data for UASs operating in the other service areas served the other USS computing systems, (iii) combine the operation data received from the UAS operators, with the operation data received from the other USS computing systems, to maintain an airspace-wide UAS database, and (iv) provide a publicly accessible application interface based on the UAS database.

Method and system for providing mobile ticketing to users

A mobile ticketing method and system for providing mobile ticketing services to users is provided. A user selects a mobile ticket and initiates payment by using a user device. In response to successful processing of the payment, the user device receives encrypted QR data from a server. The user device decrypts and format the encrypted QR data to display a QR code. The QR code is scanned at a gate terminal associated with an entry or exit gate. The gate terminal validates the QR code and broadcasts data pertaining to the QR code via a BLE network. The user device verifies the gate terminal on receiving the broadcasted data via the BLE network, and transmits a connection request to the gate terminal. The gate terminal further validates the connection request and decides whether to allow or disallow the user to pass through the entry or exit gate.
