Detection of second order vulnerabilities in web services
A method of detecting a vulnerability in a Web service can include determining, using a processor, whether a Web service uses identity of a requester to select one of a plurality of different paths of a branch in program code of the Web service. The method further can include, responsive to determining that the Web service does select one of a plurality of different paths of a branch according to identity of the requester, indicating that the Web service has a potential vulnerability.
Goods processing apparatus having a pivotable display
A goods processing apparatus can include a printing device, a pivotable display, a controller, and a sensor. The pivotable display may include a display support, a pivotable display holder, a display housing that houses a display monitor having a display border arranged around the display monitor and a display housing frame that surrounds the display border, and at least one actuation input device configured to manually trigger a motorized pivoting of the display monitor. The sensor detects an angle of inclination of the pivotable display. The controller controls a motor to automatically set a display inclination of the pivotable display based on the detected angle of inclination and a respective operator of the apparatus.
Robot Delivery System
A system for delivering an article from a first location to a second location with a robot having a closeable transport container for housing the article during transport. A closeable recipient container is provided at the second location for receiving the article. At least one computer configured to navigate the robot over an outdoor transportation network between locations is provided. The robot has a robot article transport mechanism controlled by the at least one computer for removing the article from the transport container and the recipient container has a recipient article transport mechanism for moving the article inside the recipient container.

System and method for managing packages in a kiosk
A package storage system for a kiosk includes a shelf on which packages are stacked. The shelf is configured to be adjustable in a vertical height. The system also includes a sliding guide configured to be movable with respect to the shelf, and a clamp device having two adjustable side arms and slidably attached to the sliding guide. The clamp device is also configured to grip one of the packages by the two adjustable side arms. The system further includes a blade slidably attached to the sliding guide and configured to pull out a package that is stacked immediately beneath the one package griped by the clamp device. The system also includes a labelling device configured to label the packages inside the kiosk, and a receiving tray configured to receive the packages that are delivered to the kiosk. The system further includes a controller to control movement of the clamp device. The controller is further programmed to move the packages based on specified rules.

Apparatus for processing and printing items
An apparatus with an ink printing device generates imprints on items moving in a transport direction. The ink printing device displaces the ink cartridge, which is a single inkjet print head of at least 1 inch in width transverse to the transport direction, as well as in a vertical direction, and counter to the vertical direction. A movement mechanism of the printing module is provided to vertically raise and lower the inkjet print head. The movement mechanism has a mechanism for motorized movement of the inkjet print head, and a mechanism for manual displacement in the vertical direction.
Resource Reduction in Address Validation
A method and apparatus for reducing an amount of resources required for address validation. An address validation program running on a processor unit configures a tax information table in a payroll database to have an authorization column indicating whether an employee having data in a row of the tax information table has authorized release of data in the row; receives a validation request for at least one validated address entered in one or more request fields in a graphical user interface connected to the processor unit; searches only rows having an indication of authorization in the authorization column of the tax information table; and responsive to finding at least one current address in the tax information table, displays the at least one current address in one or more response fields of the graphical user interface as the at least one validated address.
Remote postage printing using efficient load balancing of postage requests
Systems and methods that allow only a single PSD to be used for a customer regardless of the number of servers in the system are provided. This is accomplished by allowing each server to communicate with the other servers in the system, such that each server can determine which customer PSDs are coupled to each of the other servers. As requests are routed to a first server by the load balancer, if the first server does not have the specific customer's PSD installed, it can determine which server has that customer's PSD and forward the request to that second server. Once the request has been processed by the second server, the response is sent back to the first server that received the request for return to the customer.
Processing apparatus for individual items, having an inkjet print head, and an activation method therefor
In a processing apparatus, with an inkjet print head, that processes individual items, a drive motor that operates a transport mechanism to transport the individual items in the x-direction of a Cartesian coordinate system past the inkjet print head in a printing position so as to execute a printing operation with the inkjet print head on each individual item. The drive motor arrangement also moves the inkjet print head in the y-direction into a first position that is any of an exchange position, the printing position, a cleaning position or a sealing position. The drive motor arrangement also moves the inkjet print head vertically, in the z-direction of the exchange position or the sealing position, into at least one other position that is either the printing position or the cleaning position.
