Disclosed herein are systems and methods for measuring package dimensions. The systems and methods may include determining, by a computing device comprising a processor, pixel locations of a plurality of corners of a package within an image. The systems and methods may also include determining, by the computing device, the package dimensions based on the pixel locations.

A system and method for high-speed processing of mail pieces is disclosed. The high-speed system includes client server that forms and prints a shipping label comprising reduced Information-Based Indicia (RIBI) on each piece of mail. The client server provides funds to the system server and reports the RIBI usage to the system server. The system server issues tokens to the client server that allow the client server to the print a shipping label including RIBI indicia for a certain value of postage.

In a recurring revenue management system, a first unit of data and a second unit of data is received. Content is extracted from the first unit of data and the second unit of data based on one or more parameters of a predefined data object that is part of an asset data model. The extracted content is added to an instance of the predefined data object, and a reference tag with identification information for its associated content is associated with the content extracted from each of the first unit of data and the second unit of data. A duplicate data condition can be detected and resolved by applying a predefined approach to conflict resolution based on the identification information in the reference tags of the content of the first unit of data and the second unit of data. Images of items are evaluated. A first image of the item, having a view of two or more of its surfaces, is captured at a first time. A measurement of at least one dimension of one or more of the surfaces is computed and stored. A second image of the item, having a view of at least one of the two or more surfaces, is captured at a second time, subsequent to the first time. A measurement of the dimension is then computed and compared to the stored first measurement. The computed measurement is evaluated based on the comparison.

Systems and methods which provide for activation of postage indicia at a point of sale are shown. In operation according to embodiments, unassigned (e.g., not yet activated or not yet representing postage value) tokens (e.g., IBI barcodes) suitable for later use as postage indicia are distributed to various point of sale locations, such as retail locations, consumer kiosks, vending machines, etc. and made available for purchase by users. Upon purchase, at a point of sale, such unassigned tokens are preferably activated as valid or live postage indicia. Thereafter, the postage indicia may be used to post mail items.

A concealed mailing information system and a method for using alternative information for providing a shipping address for mailing with an option of running encrypted information are disclosed which provide an exchange of information and allows for (updated and encrypted) shipping/mailing addresses to be used for mailing and only releases the shipping address to be seen by the person who resides at that address.

A system and method for retrieving a plurality of indicia are described. The method includes receiving, by a computer system associated with a postage provider a request from a user, the request including a number of the plurality of indicia, and a monetary value of each of the plurality of indicia; and authenticating the request. The method further includes verifying whether sufficient funds exist in an account of the user for the number and monetary value of the plurality of requested indicia. If the request is found authentic and the computer system determines that sufficient funds exist in the account of the user for the number and monetary value of the requested indicia, extracting the plurality of indicia. The method further includes assembling in a return message the plurality of indicia as at least one binary data message; and transmitting the message to a computer associated with the user.

A method for sharing revenue generated by a media item. Such a method includes identifying a media item and multiple revenue sharing entries associated with the media item; causing a revenue generated by the media item to be dispersed to multiple entities in accordance with the multiple revenue sharing entries; and presenting the multiple revenue sharing entries.

A method is described for biometric enrolment of a biometrically authorisable device having a biometric sensor for identification of an authorised user and a processor capable of permitting access to one or more secure feature(s) based on authentication of the user's identity. The enrolment method includes mounting the biometrically authorisable device to a holder in order to form an enrolment system arranged to be delivered to the end user by mail. The holder has a power source such that during delivery the supply of power is deactivated and the holder includes a switching arrangement configured to activate the supply of power in response to manipulation of the holder. The enrolment system is delivered to the user and the supply of power is activated in response to manipulation of the holder by the user.
