Technology for voting, or endorsing with votes, a set of subjects under review, such as a group of human individual peers or a set of products. Each voter in this system is provided with an amount of voting credits that may be allocated among and between at least some of the subjects under review. In some embodiments a discounting scheme is applied to the voting credit allocations so that multiple credits allocated to a single subject will typically count for fewer net “votes” for the subject as the number of credits allocated to that single subject increases. In some embodiments, the discounting scheme is polynomial voting.

In an embodiment, a computer implemented method for verifying and counting a vote cast by a voter is provided. The method includes recording, by a ballot machine, the vote cast by the voter via a first I/O interface for a corresponding candidate out of a plurality of candidates. An encryption of a vote tag is generated based on a preceding tag, a unique key generated in response to initializing the ballot machine and the candidate constant assigned based on the vote cast by the voter for the corresponding candidate. The encrypted vote tag is scanned to retrieve information of the vote tag from the encrypted vote tag. A confirmation including a replication of the vote recorded at the ballot machine for the corresponding candidate, in response to scanning the encrypted vote tag is provided by the verification machine. The total number of vote tags recorded are counted to tabulate results.

The disclosure relates to a distributed voting system, method, apparatus, a computer device and a readable storage medium. The distributed voting system includes: a first node configured to broadcast voting invitation information; a second node configured to generate and broadcast voting commitment information according to the voting invitation information wherein the voting commitment information includes first signature information generated by the second node according to its own secret key for the voting commitment information; and a third node configured to determine that the voting commitment information is valid according to pre-acquired public key information of the second node and the first signature information, wherein the secret key of the second node uniquely corresponds to a public key of the second node, and a voting record is generated according to the voting commitment information and the voting record is stored in a first data block of the system.

A mobile voting system and method are provided. The mobile voting system may include a mobile messaging aggregator configured to receive voter verification requests from one or more mobile carriers, and a mobile voter verification server configured to verify a voter's identity in response to a voter verification request and generate a link to a mobile ballot once the voter's identity has been verified. The mobile messaging aggregator may cause the link to the mobile ballot to be transmitted to a mobile device of the voter, which when selected by the voter, allows the voter to cast a vote.

The program may include a database storing a mobile device identifier (ID), a user ID, user information, and location data of the device. The application may further be configured to display one or more events of the activity as well as an input for receiving a score of the activity from the user. The platform may additionally include a server system connected with the client application programs via a communication network. The server system may be configured for receiving the mobile device ID, the user ID, the user information, and the location data for the client program, and may further be configured to receive the scores from the users, and to adjust the scores according to determined bias of the associated user.
