Systems, methods and devices for processing batches of coins utilizing coin imaging sensor assemblies
Currency processing systems, coin processing machines, coin imaging sensor assemblies and methods of making and methods of using the same are presented herein. A currency processing system is disclosed which includes a housing with a coin input area for receiving coins and coin receptacles for stowing processed coins. A disk-type coin processing unit, which is coupled to the coin input area and coin receptacles, includes a rotatable disk for imparting motion to coins, and a sorting head for separating and discharging coins to the coin receptacles. A sensor assembly is mounted to, adjacent or within the sorting head adjacent the rotatable disk. The sensor assembly includes a linear array of sensors, wherein the linear array of sensors is configured to sense coins processed by the coin processing unit, and to output a signal indicative of coin image information for processing the coins.
Systems, methods and devices for processing batches of coins utilizing coin imaging sensor assemblies
Currency processing systems, coin processing machines, coin imaging sensor assemblies and methods of making and methods of using the same are presented herein. A currency processing system is disclosed which includes a housing with a coin input area for receiving coins and coin receptacles for stowing processed coins. A disk-type coin processing unit, which is coupled to the coin input area and coin receptacles, includes a rotatable disk for imparting motion to coins, and a sorting head for separating and discharging coins to the coin receptacles. A sensor assembly is mounted to, adjacent or within the sorting head adjacent the rotatable disk. The sensor assembly includes a linear array of sensors, wherein the linear array of sensors is configured to sense coins processed by the coin processing unit, and to output a signal indicative of coin image information for processing the coins.
COIN HANDLING APPARATUS
Provided is a coin handling apparatus including: a drawer attachment unit to which a drawer is attached; a first cassette attachment unit to which a coin transport cassette including an opening to be opened when the coin transport cassette is attached to a specific apparatus and giving or receiving a coin to or from the specific apparatus via the opening is attached; a storage unit storing the coin and feeding out the stored coin; and a first transport unit transporting the coin fed out of the storage unit to the drawer attached to the drawer attachment unit or the coin transport cassette attached to the first cassette attachment unit. The first cassette attachment unit is provided at a position different from a position of the drawer attachment unit. The coin transport cassette is attachable to the first cassette attachment unit when the drawer is attached to the drawer attachment unit.
Sheet handling apparatus, sheet handling system and sheet handling method
A valuable medium handling apparatus configured to handle a plurality of types of valuable media. The valuable medium handling apparatus includes an inlet configured to deposit the plurality of types of valuable media, a setting unit configured to set the types of the valuable media being handled by the apparatus as a first type or a second type, a determination unit configured to determine whether a type of each of the valuable media deposited in the inlet is the first type or the second type based on the setting result of the setting unit and determine whether the valuable medium determined as the first type is a genuine medium or a counterfeit medium, and a plurality of stackers configured to stack the valuable medium of the type determined by the determination unit, the plurality of stackers including a first stacker and a second stacker.

A valuable medium handling apparatus configured to handle a plurality of types of valuable media. The valuable medium handling apparatus includes an inlet configured to deposit the plurality of types of valuable media, a setting unit configured to set the types of the valuable media being handled by the apparatus as a first type or a second type, a determination unit configured to determine whether a type of each of the valuable media deposited in the inlet is the first type or the second type based on the setting result of the setting unit and determine whether the valuable medium determined as the first type is a genuine medium or a counterfeit medium, and a plurality of stackers configured to stack the valuable medium of the type determined by the determination unit, the plurality of stackers including a first stacker and a second stacker.
Coin detection antenna and coin processing device
A coin detection antenna includes a substrate and a plurality of air core coils of track shape including a wiring pattern provided on the substrate. The plurality of air core coils is disposed along short-side directions of air cores of the plurality of air core coils such that a smallest coin of coins to be detected crosses at least one of centerlines of the air cores even when the smallest coin is located at any location in a detection range.

COIN STORAGE UNIT
The invention relates to a coin storage unit comprising a housing and multiple coin tubes arranged interchangeably in the housing, wherein locking means are provided for the coin tubes, which are actuatable between a locking position locking the coin tubes against removal from the housing and an unlocking position releasing the coin tubes for removal from the housing, wherein the locking means are arranged between each two adjacent coin tubes in the housing and lock the adjacent coin tubes against removal from the housing in the locking position, and wherein the locking means can only assume the locking position in the state of the adjacent coin tubes inserted completely into the housing.
COIN PROCESSING DEVICES AND METHODS
A coin processing device, comprising a coin processing module including an inlet for receiving coins to be processed and at least one coin output location, including an elongated sleeve for receiving the coins from the at least one outlet, wherein the elongated sleeve is operable to receive, in a first mode of operation of the coin processing device, a first flexible walled coin receptacle about the elongated sleeve, and wherein, in the first mode of operation, the coins are delivered by the elongated sleeve into the first flexible walled coin receptacle, and receive, in a second mode of operation of the coin processing device, a second coin receptacle within the elongated sleeve, wherein the second coin receptacle is a generally rigid container, and wherein, in the second mode of operation, the coins are delivered from the at least one outlet into the second coin receptacle positioned within the elongated sleeve.
