A machine for depositing and dispensing coins includes a first portion containing devices for reception of the deposited coins and for recognition and sorting of the coins based on the denomination thereof, a second portion) containing a plurality of internal hoppers configured to selectively contain the coins sorted by denomination and a third portion containing coin processing means for processing the coins in the dispensing step, a seat being present in the third portion for the temporary housing of a till configured to be filled with predetermined compositions of coins of the various denominations coming from the internal hoppers, the machine further including coin conveying means adapted to receive, at the seat, coins coming from the internal hoppers or from the recognition and sorting devices and to convey them to a higher zone of the machine, where a coin path selector is disposed at the end of the coin conveying means to the higher zone of the machine, the coin path selector being movable between a first position where it enables the conveyance of the coins into an internal collection container and a second position wherein it enables the dispensing of the coins outside the machine.

A coin depositing and dispensing machine (100) comprises: a front face (102); a coin input unit (104); a coin processing unit (106); at least one container (110) for storing coins of a specific denomination; and a coin output unit (120), comprising a first element (122) and a second element (124) carrying the first element (122), wherein the first element (122) in a first position (122A) is arranged relative the at least one container (110) for receiving coins from the at least one container (110), wherein the first element (122) is displaceable relative the second element (124) from the first position (122A) towards the front face (102) to a second position (122B), and wherein the second element (124), when the first element (122) is in the second position (122B), is displaceable for carrying the first element (122) to an output position (122C), where the first element (122) at least partially protrudes from the front face (102).

A coin depositing and dispensing machine (100) comprises: a front face (102); a coin input unit (104); a coin processing unit (106); at least one container (110) for storing coins of a specific denomination; and a coin output unit (120), comprising a first element (122) and a second element (124) carrying the first element (122), wherein the first element (122) in a first position (122A) is arranged relative the at least one container (110) for receiving coins from the at least one container (110), wherein the first element (122) is displaceable relative the second element (124) from the first position (122A) towards the front face (102) to a second position (122B), and wherein the second element (124), when the first element (122) is in the second position (122B), is displaceable for carrying the first element (122) to an output position (122C), where the first element (122) at least partially protrudes from the front face (102).

A valuable medium handling apparatus configured to handle a plurality of types of valuable media. The valuable medium handling apparatus includes an inlet configured to deposit the plurality of types of valuable media, a setting unit configured to set the types of the valuable media being handled by the apparatus as a first type or a second type, a determination unit configured to determine whether a type of each of the valuable media deposited in the inlet is the first type or the second type based on the setting result of the setting unit and determine whether the valuable medium determined as the first type is a genuine medium or a counterfeit medium, and a plurality of stackers configured to stack the valuable medium of the type determined by the determination unit, the plurality of stackers including a first stacker and a second stacker.

In a coin depositing and dispensing machine 10, a plurality of storing and feeding apparatuses 50 disposed below a deposited-coin transport unit 20 are arranged vertically on plural levels. A transport direction in which a coin is transported by the deposited-coin transport unit and a feeding direction in which a coin is fed out from each storing and feeding unit are substantially perpendicular to each other.

In a coin depositing and dispensing machine 10, a plurality of storing and feeding apparatuses 50 disposed below a deposited-coin transport unit 20 are arranged vertically on plural levels. A transport direction in which a coin is transported by the deposited-coin transport unit and a feeding direction in which a coin is fed out from each storing and feeding unit are substantially perpendicular to each other.

Proceeds deposit machine has determination setting data containing correspondence between types of the coupons and information relating to necessity of authentication determination. A type determination unit determines the type of deposited coupon and then refers to the determination setting data. If yes has been set for the necessity of the authentication determination for the determined type of coupon, an authentication determination unit performs authentication determination. If the coupon is determined to be counterfeit as result of the authentication determination, the proceeds deposit machine discharges this coupon. If the coupon is determined to be genuine, proceeds deposit machine stores this coupon in one of sheet cassettes. If no has been set for the necessity of the authentication determination for the determined type of the coupon, proceeds deposit machine stores this coupon in one of the sheet cassettes without performing the authentication determination by the authentication determination unit.

A type determination unit determines the type of deposited coupon and then refers to the determination setting data. If the coupon is determined to be genuine, proceeds deposit machine stores this coupon in one of sheet cassettes. If no has been set for the necessity of the authentication determination for the determined type of the coupon, proceeds deposit machine stores this coupon in one of the sheet cassettes without performing the authentication determination by the authentication determination unit.

A coin validation apparatus includes: a conveyor conveying a coin; and a discriminator discriminating authenticity and denomination of the coin, the conveyor including: conveyor pulleys, conveyor belts each endlessly stretched between the conveyor pulleys, conveying members, each having left and right end portions attached to outer surfaces of the conveyor belts, conveying the coin rearwards in a manner laid flat and convey a coin, which has been discriminated by the discriminator as a counterfeit coin, frontwards in a manner laid flat; and guide members, provided on sides of the conveyor belts, preventing the conveying members from being separated from the conveyor belts.
