A reader located adjacent a cash register at the retailer reads the receipt and accepts the total monetary value as cash tender for merchandize being purchased. A counterfeit detector tests the currency bills and rejects currency bills that do not meet predetermined genuine criteria.
CASH PROCESSING DEVICE
A cash processing device including: one or more medium holder units, each medium holder unit including a depository and a liquid spray mechanism configured to spray liquid onto mediums held in the depository; one or more spray controllers, each spray controller capable of reading unique identification information associated with the one or more medium holder units, and including a controller configured to control operation of a corresponding liquid spray mechanism based on a wireless signal from a first wireless communication section; and a system controller including a state controller that monitors occurrence of an abnormal state based on an input detection signal, and a second wireless communication section that uses the unique identification information acquired from each of the spray controllers to wirelessly communicate a control signal related to liquid spraying in response to a monitoring outcome.
PAYMENT SANITIZING SYSTEM FOR POINT OF SALE
A sanitizer is described which frames a payment media, such as a bill, a coin and a credit card, in an irradiation zone between narrowly spaced support walls having associated ultraviolet lamps arranged to irradiate the payment media for at least a predetermined minimum time period. In one approach a motorized transport transports the payment media to an entry point from which it falls into the irradiation zone. In another aspect, a gravity feed approach is employed to return the irradiated media item to a dispense zone. One application is to alleviate concern at a point of sale where customers and merchants are concerned about whether payment media may be carrying a dangerous virus.
Banknote temporary storage mechanism and banknote processing device
Provided are a banknote temporary storage mechanism (400) and a banknote processing device. The banknote temporary storage mechanism (400) is configured to enable the banknote to smoothly fall without getting jammed. The banknote temporary storage mechanism (400) includes a frame (8), a first door (1) pivotally connected to the frame (8), and a banknote pushing mechanism (4). The first door (1) has an open position and a closed position. The banknote pushing mechanism (4) includes a banknote pushing member (44). The banknote pushing member (44) is movably connected to the first door (1), and protrudes from a banknote support surface of the first door (1). The banknote pushing member (44) is configured to, as the first door (1) rotates towards the open position from the closed position, to move relative to the first door (1) along a direction in which a banknote is disengaged from the first door (1), to push the banknote to be disengaged from the first door (1).
System For Parcel Transport And Tracking Operated Responsive To Data Bearing Records
A system for parcel transport and tracking that operates responsive to data bearing records includes a plurality of geographically spaced repositories. The exemplary repositories include one or more enclosed compartments. Access to each of the enclosed compartments is controlled by a respective door which is in operative connection with a respective lock. Central system circuitry is in operative connection with the repositories and is operative to control access to the compartments and to cause compartments to be selectively accessible so that selected parcels may be placed therein or removed therefrom by persons authorized to access such parcels. In exemplary arrangements the central system circuitry is operative to determine bundles of parcels to be transported between respective repositories to facilitate the delivery of parcels at the respective delivery locations.
Automated machine provided with a bill acceptor for driving a drive device
An automated machine 1 is provided to comprise a communications device 5 for receiving remotely operable signals emitted from a mobile terminal 10 to produce monetary signals corresponding to money amount data in the remotely operable signals, a bill acceptor 4 for validating bills inserted from the outside to produce the monetary signals when bill acceptor 4 judges the inserted bill to be genuine and for relaying the monetary signals from communications device 5, a control device 8 that has built-in program software to produce drive signals of the amount corresponding to the monetary signals in accordance with the program software when control device 8 receives the monetary signals from bill acceptor 4. In another aspect, communications device 5 may receive the remotely operable signals emitted from mobile terminal 10 to produce the monetary signals corresponding to the money amount data in the remotely operable signals and receive the monetary signals from bill acceptor 4 and send them to control device 8.
BANKNOTE PROCESSING
Banknote processing equipment is disclosed, which comprises a chamber having an open end for insertion of a bag into the chamber and an extractor adapted to establish a lower ambient pressure between the chamber and the hag to that within the bag to cause the bag to expand into an open configuration during a banknote filling operation, whereby the banknote processing equipment can deposit banknotes in the bag.
Smart drop box
A smart drop box, system, and method for providing item deposit verification. A smart drop box includes an item receptacle, a processor in communication with the item receptacle, and a user interface in communication with the processor. The item receptacle is configured to receive an item from a user, determine item information related to the item, and transfer the item to a collection container. The processor is configured to determine payment information based at least in part on the item information. The smart drop box is configured to provide deposit verification based at least in part on at least one of the item information and the payment information. In some embodiments, the deposit verification includes a printed receipt and/or an electronic notification.
MONEY DEPOSITING APPARATUS AND CHECKOUT SYSTEM
A speedy and efficient checkout process at a checkout counter in a store is realized by a deposit machine that receives deposited money from a customer and issues a pre-deposit receipt with which a pre-deposit amount is associated, and a POS register that scans a barcode of a commodity to calculate a checkout amount and reads a pre-deposit receipt to specify a pre-deposit amount. The POS register performs a checkout process for the checkout amount by using the pre-deposit amount, calculates, as change, a difference between the pre-deposit amount and the checkout amount, and causes a change machine to dispense money corresponding to the change.
