COIN HANDLING APPARATUS
Provided is a coin handling apparatus including: a storage unit; a drawer attachment unit to which a drawer is attached; a cassette attachment unit to which a coin transport cassette including an opening to be opened when the coin transport cassette is attached to a specific apparatus and giving or receiving a coin to or from the specific apparatus via the opening is attached; a first route forming portion forming a first route that guides the coin fed out of the storage unit to the drawer attached to the drawer attachment unit; a second route forming portion forming a second route that guides the coin fed out of the storage unit to the coin transport cassette attached to the cassette attachment unit; and a switching unit that switches a guide destination of the coin fed out of the storage unit to the first route or the second route.
CURRENCY PROCESSING METHOD AND CURRENCY PROCESSING DEVICE
This currency processing method is implemented by a currency processing device having first and second currency storages for storing currency in a dispensable manner, and involves: receiving a dispensation instruction regarding a selected transaction and based on the type of said transaction; executing a dispensing process regarding the transaction by using the first currency storage when the type of the transaction is a first type; and executing the dispensing process regarding the transaction by using the second currency storage when the type of the transaction is a second type.
Method and apparatus for money item processing
Described herein is a method comprising performing optical character recognition on at least one region of a display screen to determine at least one displayed character; identifying, from the determined at least one displayed character, a monetary value to be dispensed; and in response to identifying the monetary value to be dispensed, causing to be dispensed at least one money item corresponding to the identified monetary value. Further described is a method comprising determining, using at least one money item denominating apparatus, a monetary value of at least one received money item; in response to determining the monetary value, automatically providing at least one simulated user input to the interactive user interface indicative of the determined monetary value.
COIN HANDLING APPARATUS AND COIN HANDLING METHOD
A coin handling apparatus comprises an inlet section that is provided on customer side of the coin handling apparatus and from which the coins are put in, a recognition unit that recognizes the coins put in from the inlet section, and a first ejection section that is provided on attendant side of the coin handling apparatus and to which the coins recognized as rejected coins by the recognition unit are ejected.
COIN CHUTE FOR A SELF-SERVICE TERMINAL
Disclosed is a coin chute protector for a self-service terminal. The coin chute protector may comprise a body having a first surface and a second surface. The second surface may define a channel arranged to direct a liquid toward a first edge of the second surface. The coin chute protector may be sized to fit within an indentation defined by a coin chute of the self-service terminal.

PAPER SHEET HANDLING DEVICE, AUTOMATIC TRANSACTION DEVICE, AND PAPER SHEET HANDLING METHOD
A banknote handling device is provided with which it is possible to constantly demonstrate sufficient device processing performance, and which prevents collisions between a transportation direction switching means and a banknote even when the operation speed of the transportation direction switching means changes. Accordingly, a paper sheet handling device for handling a plurality of paper sheets and switching the transportation direction includes: a transportation path for transporting at least one paper sheet and a transportation direction switching means for switching the direction of transportation of the paper sheet; and a paper sheet handling control means for controlling, in accordance with the constantly-changing operation speed of the transportation direction switching means, at least one of the operation timing of the transportation direction switching means, the speed of transportation of a paper sheet, and the distance between a paper sheet and a preceding paper sheet.
Money handling machine, money handling system and money handling method
A money handling machine (for example, a money depositing/dispensing machine 100) includes: a coin-roll storage unit (for example, a coin-roll storage device 180) configured to store a coin roll; an authentication unit 107 configured to authenticate an authority of an operator; and a controlling unit 102 configured to control the coin-roll storage unit so as to dispense the coin roll to replenish a plurality of settlement places 20 at a time only when the authority of the operator authenticated by the authentication unit 107 is a predetermined authority.
MONEY DEPOSITING APPARATUS AND CHECKOUT SYSTEM
A speedy and efficient checkout process at a checkout counter in a store is realized by a deposit machine that receives deposited money from a customer and issues a pre-deposit receipt with which a pre-deposit amount is associated, and a POS register that scans a barcode of a commodity to calculate a checkout amount and reads a pre-deposit receipt to specify a pre-deposit amount. The POS register performs a checkout process for the checkout amount by using the pre-deposit amount, calculates, as change, a difference between the pre-deposit amount and the checkout amount, and causes a change machine to dispense money corresponding to the change.
MONEY HANDLING APPARATUS AND MONEY HANDLING METHOD
A money handling apparatus is capable of appropriately performing reconciliation on a first storage unit regardless of a maximum storage amount of the first storage unit without leading to an increase in a size of the apparatus. The apparatus includes a first storage unit storing money and discharging the stored money, a transport unit transporting money, a recognition unit recognizing money, and a control unit performing reconciliation for confirming a storage amount of money in the first storage unit by the recognition unit's recognizing money in the first storage unit, discharged from the first storage unit and transported by the transport unit. The control unit performs the reconciliation when a deemed storage amount that is an amount of money deemed to be stored in the first storage unit satisfies a predetermined condition. The predetermined condition is that the deemed storage amount is less than or equal to an amount of the money allowed to be concurrently positioned in a place other than the first storage unit in the apparatus.
