Unit dose dispensing mechanisms
Mechanisms for dispensing items such as medications and medical supplies. Different mechanisms may be tailored to dispensing different kinds of items, for example medications in single dose packages, vials, syringes, or other similarly-shaped items. The dispensers may be placed in a dispensing unit that includes a lockable restock drawer and a dispense drawer into which items are dispensed by the dispensing mechanisms. The various kinds of dispensing mechanisms may be installed in the restock drawer in any workable proportion and arrangement. The dispensing mechanisms include multiple sensing technologies for tracking and inventory of items and for accurate sensing of items as they are dispensed.
Isolating robotic actuators from food and beverage preparation
Provided is a device, comprising: a barrier configured to impeded or prevent particles shed by a robot in a first volume of space from entering a second volume of space in which the robot manipulates a workpiece; and a robot having three or more degrees of freedom, the robot comprising: a first portion disposed on a first side of the barrier in the first volume, the first portion comprising an actuator of the robot, the actuator being configured to drive movement of the robot to manipulate the workpiece; and a second portion disposed on a second side of the barrier in the second volume, the second portion comprising an end-effector of the robot by which the robot makes contact with the workpiece.
SPACE VENDING MACHINES
The present invention discloses a system and method of delivering food items or products of interests from the space-vending machine housed in a space shuttle or the orbiter to the astronaut's specific location on the International Space Station. More precisely, the orbiter docks into the desired experiment module from where it receives the order and delivers it on the International Space Station.
Garment packaging for direct-to-garment personalization kiosk
A direct-to-garment personalization system for personalizing an article having a direct-to-garment printer configured to print a graphic onto the article and a packaged article. The packaged article including the article to be printed; a hanger having a first arm coupled to a second arm, the first and second arms disposed in the article; and a container for receiving the hanger and the article in a rolled configuration. The system also includes a storage area containing the packaged article and a transfer system. The transfer system is configured to retrieve the packaged article from the storage area; remove the article from the container; and move the article to the direct-to-garment printer.
MEDICAL PRODUCTS STORAGE DEVICE INCLUDING ACCESS CONTROL
An apparatus and method for storing medical products such as pharmaceutical and medical products in climate controlled storage devices includes climate control systems in communication with inventory access and tracking systems.
Method and system for normalizing secondary award opportunities for players placing wagers having different house advantages
A system and method for awarding secondary prizes, such as relative to wagering events presented at gaming machines and gaming tables, is provided. A player receives a different number of opportunities, such as prize entries, for wagers placed on different wagering events having different house advantages, and preferably where each prize entry has its own win/lose outcome.
Variable dose dispensing system
A variable dose dispensing system may include a processor and memory. The processor may receive a request for a variable dose order of a medication, such as from a user. The processor may request an amount of the medication to be administered, and receive, in response to the request, an indication of the amount to be administered. The processor may verify that the amount to be administered is within a range of the variable dose order. The processor may determine an item in a local inventory that contains at least the amount of the medication to be administered, and may dispense the item. If an amount of the dispensed item exceeds the amount to be administered, such as by a waste amount, the processor may display an indication of the waste amount to the user, and may transmit a notification of the waste amount, such as to a management server.
Method and system for conducting a game of chance
A method of conducting a game of chance, the method including displaying first cards for active lines, and providing a prompt for eliciting a first response, the first response including an indication that a next card will be higher in value than a preceding card for an active line from among the active lines or an indication that a next card will be lower in value than a preceding card for an active line from among the active lines. The method further includes displaying a next card for the active lines, determining active lines remaining based on the indication of the first response, updating a streak number corresponding to a number of responses in the game that include indications resulting in active lines remaining, and determining a reward based on the active lines remaining in response to the streak number reaching a threshold value.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ACCESSING SECURED PHYSCIAL ASSETS
Asset access systems in accordance with various embodiments of the invention utilize a two-dimensional (2D) code that allows a user to gain physical access to and take possession of a key fob, where key fob is understood to represent any wireless device that interacts with a vehicle control system to access, manage, and operate the asset. Users of the system will present the 2D code to a transaction client that grants the user access to the key fob. Transaction clients can reside at various facilities that do not employ humans as part of the asset transfer to the user. Upon completion of the return of the asset to the facility, the user will present a new 2D code to the human-less access system that allows the user to return the key fob or other physical asset to a designated location at the transaction client.
Intelligent blending system
A blending system includes a blender base and a container. The blender base includes a housing that houses a motor. The container is attachable to the blender base. The blending system includes a user device that communicates with the blender base. The user device may communicate with a remote computing device. The user device generates instructions and recipes for the blender base.
