Systems and methods for retrofit housing for transaction devices
A housing facilitates a service operation for a transaction device. The housing is communicatively coupled to a housing control computing system. The housing includes a user interface comprising a first input/output (I/O) device that is communicatively coupled to the housing control computing system. The housing includes a transfer cassette interface structured to receive a transfer cassette that is structured to retrievably store banknotes. The housing also includes a media aperture interface structured to couple to a media aperture of the transaction device. The media aperture interface is coupled to a first sensor structured to detect a parameter of the service operation. The media aperture interface is also coupled to a transfer arm structured to facilitate transferring banknotes to and from the media aperture. The housing also includes a transport apparatus that facilitates transporting banknotes to and from the transfer cassette via the transfer cassette interface and/or the media aperture interface.
Queue Management for Pre-staged Transactions at Ultra-Wide Enabled ATMs
A queue management ultra-wideband (UWB) automated teller machine (ATM) transaction pre-staging systems and methods for use with an ATM server, at least one UWB-enabled wireless portable electronic device, and a plurality of UWB-enabled ATMs are disclosed. Transactions are pre-staged by the UWB-enabled devices with the ATM servers. Queue wait times at each UWB-enabled ATM can be determined based on how many transactions have been scheduled for the ATM, how many customers are currently waiting at the ATM, and what currency resources are required by the pre-staged transactions. Geographical distances between the user and the ATMs can be determined. Based on historical customer ATM usage preferences, the distance to various ATMs, and queue wait times, the ATM server may make recommendations regarding which ATM would be optimal for the customer to use to complete the pre-staged transaction.
ESCROW CLUTCH PROTECTION
Disclosed are systems and methods for protecting an escrow clutch of a self-service terminal. The systems and methods may include actuating a motor of the self-service terminal to cause an escrow clutch of the self-service terminal to spin at a rate. As the clutch spins, a determination as to when a clutch slippage exceeds a preset slippage rate may be made. When the clutch slippage exceeds the preset slippage rate, the motor may be actuated to cause the escrow clutch to spin at a second rate. The second rate may less than the first rate.
Modular automated transaction machine
An automated transaction machine can include a user-interface device, a computing device, a battery, a head portion, a first socket-half, a first electrical rail, and a relay. The a user-interface device can be configured to receive an input from a user and transmit the input. The computing device can receive the input. The battery can selectively direct electric power to the user-interface device and the computing device, which can all be housed in the head portion. The first socket-half can be exposed on an outside surface of the head portion and direct power to the user-interface device, the computing device, and the battery. The relay can be arranged to connect the battery and the first electrical rail in a first configuration and be switched between the first configuration and the second configuration by an output signal of the first socket-half.
Short Travel Pusher Plate Stacking Bin
A pusher plate stacking bin apparatus is provided for a valuable media depository. The apparatus comprising a pusher plate driven by a rack and pinion apparatus to stack a media item that is in a final position within the apparatus onto a media stacking platform. The media item is urged into the final position such that a trailing edge of the media item overhangs and rests on a fixed media guide and such that a leading edge of the media item overhangs and rests on a hinged media guide with a bottom surface of the media item elevated above the media stacking platform. The rack and pinion apparatus drives the plate past the media guides causing the hinged media guide to drop and the media item to fold along the leading edge as the media item is stacked onto the platform.
Service messaging system and method for a transaction machine
A method includes receiving a transaction request at a transaction machine, the transaction request being associated with an account holder, determining a weather status for the transaction machine, determining screen content for the transaction machine based on the weather status, and displaying the screen content to the account holder via a display screen of the transaction machine.
Image forming apparatus
In accordance with an embodiment, an image forming apparatus comprises an image forming section configured to form an image on a sheet; a sheet discharge port through which the sheet is discharged; a sheet conveyance roller configured to convey the sheet to the sheet discharge port; a movable sheet guide, arranged in such a manner that an imaginary line connecting a portion contacting the sheet of the sheet conveyance roller with the sheet discharge port passes through a cross-sectional area, configured to be capable of moving in a direction away from a surface of the sheet; and a guide sensor configured to detect movement of the movable sheet guide.
Cash handling system and cash handling method
In order to improve efficiency of an operation of a cash handling system and reduce the labor required for the operation, a POS register receives an input of a cash-out amount, and an input of a charge amount. The POS register reads a debit card ID from a debit card, and transmits a settlement request including the debit card ID and a settlement amount to a management server. Upon receiving the settlement request, the management server withdraws the settlement amount from an account, and transmits a settlement permission to the POS register. Upon receiving the settlement permission from the management server, the POS register performs charge of electronic money, and transmits a dispensing instruction for the cash-out amount to a change machine. The change machine receives the dispensing instruction and dispenses cash.
Cassette and automated teller machine including the same
An automated teller machine includes a cassette, a strongbox protection wall, an external conveyance path, and a plurality of external branch conveyance paths. The cassette includes a plurality of storage parts configured to store a paper medium, and a case having a plurality of entrances through which the paper medium passes to be accumulated in the storage parts or is withdrawn from the storage parts to pass. The strongbox protection wall covers the cassette and has an external entrance through which the paper medium passes to be loaded into the cassette and is unloaded from the cassette to pass. The external conveyance path extending to penetrate the strongbox protection wall through the external entrance. The plurality of external branch conveyance paths extends between the external conveyance path and the entrances of the case, respectively.
Systems and methods for non-contacting interaction with user terminals
Systems and methods are provided to enable users to interact with user terminals having a touch screen interface without requiring the user to physically contact a surface of the touch screen interface.
