AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINE FOR DETECTING SECURITY VULNERABILITIES BASED ON DOCUMENT NOISE REMOVAL
An Automated Teller Machine (ATM) for detecting security vulnerabilities by removing noise artifacts from documents receives a transaction request when a document is inserted into the ATM, where the document contains a noise artifact at least partially obstructing a portion of the document. The ATM generates an image of the document, where the image displays at least one data item comprising a sender's name, a receiver's name, and a number representing an amount. The ATM determines whether the noise artifact obstructs at least partially one data item. In response to determining that the noise artifact obstructs at least partially one data item, the ATM generates a test clean image of the document by removing the noise artifact from the image. In response to determining that the noise artifact is removed, the ATM approves the transaction request.
Biometric Automated Teller Machine
The present invention relates to a biometric automated teller machine that uses biometrics to authenticate a user rather than a bank card and personal identification number. The biometric automated teller machine comprises a biometric scanner configured to scan the fingerprint of the user and a camera configured to scan the iris and retina of the user. The captured biometric is compared with biometrics that have been registered by the user for the purpose of authentication. The biometric automated teller machine enables the user to withdraw cash and perform other actions in a safer, more convenient, and simpler manner than do current automated teller machines.
Alternative service access
Alternative service access with operations including determining that a system has met a plurality of criteria, including the system having a battery level below a threshold, identifying a merchant, generating an authentication token for authorizing a payment using a payment provider, and sending the authentication token to the payment provider.
CARD READER AND FOREIGN OBJECT DETECTION METHOD FOR CARD READER
A card reader includes a card conveyance path comprising upper and a lower conveyance paths to convey a card inserted into a device; and a reading unit that reads information on the card. Lower concave and convex portions are provided on an upper surface of the lower conveyance path behind the reading unit. Upper concave and convex portions are provided on a lower surface of the upper conveyance path to be fitted to the lower concave and convex portion. A pressing unit provides a fitted state of the lower and upper concave and convex portions when no object is present. A detection sensor detects a state where an interval between the lower and upper concave and convex portions is widened. The detection sensor detects the state where the interval is widened, to recognize that an object is inserted between the lower and upper concave and convex portions.
Auto-reconciliation
In an example embodiment, a payment processor automatically generates a virtual account number that can be used by customers to perform push payments, such as ACH, wire transfer, and direct deposits. This virtual account number may be surfaced to customers via invoices sent by service or product providers. The payment processor is then able to automatically match the payment sent to the virtual account number and the amount owed on the invoice.
Dual communication channel smart card
Wait times at ATMs may undermine the utility of these self-service machines. ATMs are configured to provide faster self-service kiosks that allow users to quickly perform common financial transactions. However, it has been increasing common for users to have to wait on a line to access an ATM. Apparatus and methods are provided for a smart card that stages transactions by capturing the amount, pin and other necessary information on the smart card itself, before the user begins interacting with the ATM. Information captured by the smart card may be transferred to ATM when the smart card is inserted into ATM. The user does not provide the ATM with any additional information after inserted the smart card into the ATM, thereby improving the transaction processing efficiency of the ATM and enhancing user satisfaction.
Wireless device for retrofitting ATMs
A wireless device is provided for retrofitting ATMs. The wireless device including a memory; at least one hardware processor coupled to the memory; a hardware interface coupled to the least one hardware processor; and, at least one antenna coupled to the at least one hardware processor, where the at least one hardware processor is configured to: (i) receive over the at least one antenna an instruction to retrieve state data; (ii) receive the state data over the hardware interface from an ATM; and, (iii) transmit over a virtual private network (VPN) using the at least one antenna the state data, where the VPN is separate from a financial institution network the ATM communicates with to perform transactions.
Systems and methods for monitoring components of and detecting an intrusion into an automated teller machine
The disclosed embodiments provide systems, methods, and articles of manufacture for detecting an intrusion of a product (e.g., an ATM) via an electronic tattletale. The disclosed embodiments may provide an ATM comprising a housing comprising an interior surface and a substance adhered to the interior surface, the substance comprising a piezoelectric element. The ATM may further comprise a detection circuit coupled to the substance, which may be configured to receive a first response signal generated by the substance and generate an indication of an intrusion into the housing, based on a comparison of the received first response signal to a predefined second response signal.
Automated teller machine
An automated teller machine includes a main body; a customer service unit; a deposit/withdrawal unit to separate and stack medium; a tray unit for transferring the medium while reciprocating between the deposit/withdrawal unit and the customer service unit; and a throat unit providing a transfer path of the tray unit. The tray unit includes: a tray bottom plate forming a bottom surface of the tray unit, and a tray rib protruded from a lower surface of the tray bottom plate. The throat unit includes a throat bottom plate forming a bottom surface of the throat unit, and a support member protruded from the throat bottom plate. The tray rib and the support member are arranged without interferring with each other, and overlapped with each other in at least parts of the tray rib and the support member when viewed from a side of the ATM.
Automatic synchronization of payment data across distributed systems
In an embodiment, a computer-implemented method comprises receiving supplier invoice data comprising one or more supplier payment objects corresponding to a supplier to a customer of a supplier-customer transaction. A match determination is made between the supplier payment object and a verified payment object. In response to a no-match determination, a customer transaction system is queried to validate the supplier, and in response to the supplier validation, a validation payment object is created, validating the supplier. A match determination is made between the supplier payment object and the verified payment object, and the supplier invoice is automatically generated. In response to receiving subsequent supplier invoice data corresponding to the supplier of subsequent supplier-client transactions, for each subsequent supplier-client transaction, the subsequent supplier invoice is automatically generated with the verified payment object.
