The processor is configured to determine whether or not a promotion is offered, and determine whether or not an electronic receipt is issued. The processor is further configured to control a printer to print an image indicating the promotion on a paper slip with the first image layout, when it is determined that the promotion is offered and the electronic receipt is not issued, and control a communication interface to transmit promotion data of the promotion in a text format, when it is determined that the promotion is offered and the electronic receipt is issued. The promotion data includes a form identifier of the first image layout and does not include the first form data.

According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes a comparison unit and an update management unit. The comparison unit compares terminal information indicating a function validated or invalidated among a plurality of functions of an application installed on a terminal with a function to be updated by applying an update program of updating the application among the plurality of functions. The update management unit determines whether or not the terminal is an application target of the update program based on a function comparison result by the comparison unit.

Disclosed are a system and a method for advertising by means of back of a cash register paper, the system includes a cloud advertisement server, at least one advertisement releasing terminal, and a plurality of duplex printers, the cloud advertisement server is wirelessly connected to the advertisement releasing terminal and the duplex printers respectively; the advertisement releasing terminal is configured for receiving advertisement contents input by a user, generating advertisement information, and sending advertisement information to the cloud advertisement server; the cloud advertisement server is configured for receiving the advertisement information sent by the advertisement releasing terminal, generating corresponding advertisement pushing information, and sending the advertisement pushing information to the duplex printers; and each of the duplex printers is configured for receiving the advertisement pushing information and printing corresponding advertisement information on back of a cash register paper while printing cash register information.

Integrating payment processing functionality into a third-party application via software development kit (SDK) instructions is described. In an example, a payment card reader can include reader instructions executable on the payment card reader to configure the payment card reader to read payment card data from a payment card and transmit the payment card data to a mobile device for processing by SDK instructions on the mobile device. The SDK instructions can be executable on the mobile device to configure the mobile device to process the payment card data from the payment card reader. The SDK instructions, which can be provided by a payment processor, can be configured to be integrated into a third-party application on the mobile device, wherein the third-party application is provided by an entity distinct from the payment processor.

Integrating payment processing functionality into a third-party application via software development kit (SDK) instructions is described. In an example, a payment card reader can include reader instructions executable on the payment card reader to configure the payment card reader to read payment card data from a payment card and transmit the payment card data to a mobile device for processing by SDK instructions on the mobile device. The SDK instructions can be executable on the mobile device to configure the mobile device to process the payment card data from the payment card reader. The SDK instructions, which can be provided by a payment processor, can be configured to be integrated into a third-party application on the mobile device, wherein the third-party application is provided by an entity distinct from the payment processor.

A retail customer or event attendee can provide feedback specific to a retail location, event, or other desired association using an association-specific machine executable code printed on a transaction request at a retailer or event host. In some embodiments, a system may include a server subsystem and a processor module configured to provide a customer with a printed or electronic version of an association-specific machine-readable code. The association-specific machine-readable code may include a decodable instruction for interacting with a server subsystem to access an electronic platform configured to provide a respective association-specific request for information and receive and store response data received in response to the information request.
