Printer method and apparatus
A printer has a light source that directs light toward a print medium path. An RGB sensor is positioned to receive light from the light source that is reflected by the print medium. An infrared light filter is situated between the RGB sensor and the paper to filter out infrared light. A programmed processor is coupled to an output of the RGB sensor in order to detect form elements in the output from the RGB light sensor, retrieve a stored electronic representation of a form, match the form elements to the stored electronic representation of the form to identify locations on the form, and control printing to the form.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INTELLIGENT RECEIPT PROCESSING
A system and method for document management, such as receipts, includes a device having a processor and associated memory, a wireless data interface and a digital imager. The device is configured to selectively generate image data corresponding to captured images of associated receipts acting in connection with a touchscreen display. Price data is extracted from multiple areas of the image data and an image of the receipts on the touchscreen display is generated. The processor determines a position of the price data on the image and highlights at least one user-selectable portion of the image on the touchscreen display. Aggregate costs are calculated and displayed in accordance with user selection.
RECEIPT PRINTER
In accordance with an embodiment, a receipt printer comprises a discharge port configured to discharge a receipt, a conveyance section configured to convey a paper becoming the receipt to the discharge port; a clamping section configured to clamp the paper at an upstream side of the discharge port in a conveyance direction of the paper; and a controller configured to control the clamping section and the conveyance section such that the paper is bent into a loop shape to be discharged from the discharge port by clamping a front end of the paper with the clamping section and conveying the paper towards the discharge port while the front end of the paper is clamped by the clamping section.

The request unit makes a request for information provision, which is accompanied by the notification of the transaction code that is represented by the visible code. The transaction unit transmits the provision information that is stored in the state of being associated with the transmission code that is notified. The output unit outputs the provision information that is transmitted.

The issuing unit issues a voucher on which a visible code representing the transaction code is printed. The creation unit creates provision information based on the notified transaction information. The reading unit optically reads the visible code that is printed on the voucher. The request unit makes a request for information provision, which is accompanied by the notification of the transaction code that is represented by the visible code. The transaction unit transmits the provision information that is stored in the state of being associated with the transmission code that is notified. The output unit outputs the provision information that is transmitted.
