Transaction tracking and monitoring
A device may generate one or more objects for one or more transactions. The one or more transactions may include a sequence of one or more events. The one or more objects may include one or more states associated with the sequence of one or more events. The device may receive information associated with the one or more transactions. The information may be used to update the one or more states of the one or more objects. The device may detect one or more alerts based on the one of more objects. The one or more alerts may be associated with the one or more states of the one or more objects. The device may determine an alarm status based on the one or more alerts and may provide information to cause an action to be performed.
Close range monitoring
A wearable device may connect to a wearable device over a short-range wireless connection. The user device may receive sensor data from the wearable device, where the wearable device has sensors. The user device may determine that a safety alert parameter has been met, and in response generate an audible alarm. The device may then determine that the connection between the user device and the wearable device has been disconnected, and in response, generate a second audible alarm.
Wireless protocol communication bridge and system comprising bridge
A bridge for linking a first and a second wireless communication device and translating between differing wireless protocols is described and taught. The bridge system comprises at least one wireless device and a bridge apparatus. The bridge apparatus takes the form of a universal serial bus that contains components that allows it to function without a host system. Additionally, the bridge apparatus enables the translation between different wireless protocols. This, in turn, enables older or outdated wireless technology to function seamlessly with the most current wireless protocols.
Automatic adjustment of metric alert trigger thresholds
Arrangements relate to the automatic adjustment of an alert trigger threshold associated with a metric. In response to a determination that a predetermined alert trigger threshold associated with a metric is met, an alert notification can be sent to a plurality of users associated with the metric. Feedback on the alert notification can be received from one or more of the plurality of users. The alert trigger threshold can be adjusted based on the received feedback. Such adjusting can be performed using a processor.
Observation based event tracking
A computer-implemented process of tracking events, is carried out by detecting that a first badge is within a personal-area network wireless communication range of a second badge, thus designating an encounter, and performing, by processor executing instructions read out from memory, an event logging transaction responsive to the encounter. The event logging transaction is performed by receiving, from the first badge, an electronic message characterizing an observation made by the user of the first badge relative to a user of the second badge, converting the electronic message received from the first badge into a pinpoint response, and generating an event record comprising an identification of an event type, and the pinpoint response.
Point cloud occupancy map compression
A system comprises an encoder configured to compress attribute information and/or spatial for a point cloud and/or a decoder configured to decompress compressed attribute and/or spatial information for the point cloud. To compress the attribute and/or spatial information, the encoder is configured to convert a point cloud into an image based representation. Also, the decoder is configured to generate a decompressed point cloud based on an image based representation of a point cloud. A block/sub-block organization scheme is used to encode blocks and sub-blocks of an occupancy map used in compressing the point cloud. Binary values are assigned to blocks/sub-blocks based on whether they contain patches projected on the point cloud. A traversal path is chosen that takes advantage of run-length encoding strategies to reduce a size of an encoded occupancy map. Also, auxiliary information is used to further improve occupancy map compression.

System and method for remote monitoring of released individual
A system and method are disclosed for activating remote monitoring functionality of a personal wireless device associated with a released individual. After incarceration, former inmates are released under a variety of different circumstances, many of which require follow-up check-ins with case managers or other individuals. As part of their release, inmates often agree to multiple restrictions and requirements. In order to better monitor compliance with those requirements, a personal wireless device assigned to the released individual can be programmed with certain rules and automatically trigger when a violation is detected. As a result of a detected violation, the personal wireless device activates certain devices, such as a camera, microphone, etc., to capture data in order to remotely monitor the released individual. A case manager can also manually activate monitoring.

Device and system for ultrasonic transmission of accelerometer data
A system for detecting impacts includes a housing configured to be worn by a user. An accelerometer is connected with the housing. The accelerometer is configured to detect an acceleration indicative of an impact experienced by the user. An inaudible tone chip is positioned about the housing. The inaudible tone chip is configured to transmit ultrasonic tones including data of the impact to a remote device. A remote device includes a receiver. The receiver is configured to receive the ultrasonic tones transmitted by the inaudible tone chip.
