System and method for remote monitoring of released individual
A system and method are disclosed for activating remote monitoring functionality of a personal wireless device associated with a released individual. After incarceration, former inmates are released under a variety of different circumstances, many of which require follow-up check-ins with case managers or other individuals. As part of their release, inmates often agree to multiple restrictions and requirements. In order to better monitor compliance with those requirements, a personal wireless device assigned to the released individual can be programmed with certain rules and automatically trigger when a violation is detected. As a result of a detected violation, the personal wireless device activates certain devices, such as a camera, microphone, etc., to capture data in order to remotely monitor the released individual. A case manager can also manually activate monitoring.

Alert systems for senior living engagement and care support platforms
Provided herein is an engagement and care support platform (ECSP) computer system including at least one processor in communication with at least one memory device for facilitating senior user engagement. The processor is programmed to: (i) register a user through an application, (ii) register a caregiver associated with the user through the application, (iii) generate a senior profile based upon user personal and scheduling data, (iv) build a daily interactive user interface that reflects the senior profile, (v) display the daily interactive user interface at a first client device associated with the user, (vi) cause the first client device to initiate a daily interaction prompt to the user, (vii) determine whether any user interaction was received in response to the daily interaction prompt, and (viii) transmit a daily update message to a second client device associated with the caregiver, including an indication of whether any user interaction was received.
Device and system for ultrasonic transmission of accelerometer data
A system for detecting impacts includes a housing configured to be worn by a user. An accelerometer is connected with the housing. The accelerometer is configured to detect an acceleration indicative of an impact experienced by the user. An inaudible tone chip is positioned about the housing. The inaudible tone chip is configured to transmit ultrasonic tones including data of the impact to a remote device. A remote device includes a receiver. The receiver is configured to receive the ultrasonic tones transmitted by the inaudible tone chip.

Methods of servicing one or more consumer appliances
Methods of servicing one or more consumer appliances are provided herein. The method may include establishing an automatic wireless connection to the consumer appliance with a removably attached dongle through a cellular communications network. The method may also include identifying a consumer appliance as one appliance type of a predetermined plurality of appliance types. The method may further include receiving a recorded log data set from the consumer appliance through the dongle based on the identified appliance type. The method may still further include determining whether an errant event has occurred at the consumer appliance based on the recorded log data set.
Wireless speaker devices for wireless audio/video recording and communication devices
A wireless speaker device configured for use with a wireless A/V recording and communication device, such as a doorbell. The wireless speaker device, which includes a speaker, may connect to the user's local area network (LAN), such as a Wi-Fi network. The LAN is connected to a wide area network (WAN), such as the Internet and/or a public switched telephone network (PSTN). When the wireless A/V recording and communication device detects a visitor, it sends a signal, via the LAN, to at least one device in the WAN, such as a server and/or a service. In response, the at least one device in the WAN sends a signal, via the LAN, to the wireless speaker device. The signal to the wireless speaker device includes a command for the wireless speaker device to emit a tone through its speaker. The wireless speaker device then emits a tone through its speaker to alert the user that a visitor is at the wireless A/V recording and communication device. The wireless speaker device may further include a wireless repeater configured to receive a wireless signal from the one or more LAN devices and rebroadcast the wireless signal. The wireless speaker device may further include a wireless communication module configured to transmit data wirelessly to and/or receive data wirelessly from another wireless device, independently of the LAN, via a direct connection to the another wireless device.

Network based reunification management using portable devices
Computing device(s) are configured for managing the reunification of students with parents during an emergency or a drill for a simulated emergency. The reunification of students with guardians may be managed through the operations of various user interfaces (UIs) presented on the device(s). Different UIs may be configured to support different personnel performing different roles in the reunification process. The UIs may include one or more of a student supervisor UI, a location supervisor UI, a runner UI, a guardian greeter UI, a reunification officer UI, or an incident commander UI. The various UIs enable different personnel to track the location and status of individuals, such as students and guardians, during various stages of a reunification process, enable personnel to dynamically update a centralized database with current information regarding the location and status of individuals, and view real time information regarding the location and status of individuals.
