Emergency alert systems with secondary alerts
Aspects discussed herein relate to providing alerts to a community of devices located in or near a geographic are such as a building or property. The alerts override any alert-inhibiting state of the mobile device to deliver audio, visual, and/or haptic alerts in emergency situations. The communication and emergency alert system may be used to communicate with many different communities of people. Moreover, certain individuals may be members of more than one community at the same time, and the communities themselves may change over time based both on the user's preferences and on their physical locations. Multiple different alerts can be sent to different mobile devices for a single event. The alerts can be customized to particular mobile devices depending on the community to which the mobile device belongs for the event.
Audio communication system and method
Systems and methods for audio communication are disclosed. The system includes a plurality of transducer units and plurality of sensors adapted to be located in a plurality of sites/spaces to which service should be provided by the system. The plurality of transducer units are capable of emitting/directing and focusing ultra-sonic signals to respective coverage zones in the sites, such that localized (confined) sound field can be formed at selected spatial position in the coverage zones by utilizing sound from ultrasound technique. The sensors are associated with respective sensing volumes in the sites and are operable to obtain sensory data indicative of spatial arrangement of elements/object at the sensing volumes within the sites. The system includes: a user detection module for processing the sensory data from the sensors to detect a user within the sensing volumes; gesture detector for determining one or more vocal and/or non-vocal gestures of said user; an audio session manager adapted to determine sound data for transmission to said user in association with said one or more gestures; and an output sound generator adapted to selecting a transducer unit for serving the user, and operating the selected transducer to produce audible sound with said sound data to be provided to said user.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INSTALLING AN ITEM USING AUGMENTED REALITY
In some implementations, a device may determine dimensions of an installation area in a real-world environment and may obtain information identifying dimensions of an installation template associated with installing an equipment in the real-world environment. The device may determine a scale for displaying augmented reality representations associated with installing the equipment, based on the dimensions of the installation area and the dimensions of the installation template. The device may identify, based on information identifying an installation point of the installation template, a virtual installation point associated with installing the equipment in the installation area. The user device may display an augmented reality representation of the virtual installation point to enable a depiction of a corresponding real installation point in the installation area. The augmented reality representation may be displayed based on the scale and a distance from the user device to the installation area.

Common practices in fishing makes it difficult for people to notice when a fish strikes. To address these and other problems associated with common practices in fishing, a fish alert tool can be configured to generate an alert when a fish strikes. The fish alert tool can include a holder for a fishing pole and a spike that is connected to the holder and supports the holder from the ground. The fish alert tool can also include an alarm that generates the alert when the fish strike is detected.

Electronic Seal and Location Lock
The present invention is an improved electronic lock for use on cargo containers, storage trailers, tractor-trailers, houses, sheds, vehicles or other structures. The improved electronic lock communicates with a mobile wireless communication device such as a smart phone, and may be selectively locked or unlocked. The improved electronic lock may be configured as two independent locking mechanisms within one locking unit and having a traditional shackle-style locking portion and another locking shank portion for securing (or sealing) door latch bars commonly found on tractor-trailer cargo doors. The improved electronic lock further includes a Global Positioning System (GPS) so that the secured (or sealed) cargo container or trailer can be tracked by the improved lock device's location.

Implementations of firearm regulation systems may include a firearm safety system (FSS) configured to physically couple to a firearm. The FSS may include a locking mechanism configured to prevent the firearm from firing and a sensor configured to detect an environmental parameter. The firearm regulation system may also include a management system communicatively coupled to the FSS and a site safety system (SSS) communicatively coupled to the management system. The SSS may include one or more lockdown mechanisms.

The adapter plate may comprise a power adapter configured to provide the AC supply to the light fixture and convert the AC supply to a DC source. The base may comprise a circuit configured to receive the DC source and generate video data. The base may be configured to slide in and out of the adapter plate to adjust a distance between the adapter plate and the base.
