SECURITY TAG
20220237425 · 2022-07-28 · ·

This disclosure relates to security tags and in particular to electronic article surveillance (EAS) tags that are applied to items in a retail environment to deter theft of the items. A security tag comprises a main body, a tamper element and circuitry housed in the main body, the main body being connectable to the tamper element such that the tamper element completes a tamper circuit. The circuitry comprises an alarm system configured to be triggered when the tamper circuit is opened, a switch having a first state in which the alarm system is activated and a second state in which the alarm system is deactivated, and a latch element arranged to detect the state of the switch and being configured such that when the state of the switch changes from the first state to the second state the alarm system is permanently disabled.

NFC DEVICE POSTION FINDER

A method is provided that is implemented by a first NFC device configured in reader mode. The method includes evaluating an information about the coupling between the first NFC device and a second NFC device configured in card mode, as a function of the position of an antenna of the first NFC device with respect to an antenna of the second NFC device. The method further includes indicating the information by a user interface of the first device.

Doorbell Chime Bypass Circuit
20220237993 · 2022-07-28 ·

A doorbell chime bypass circuit includes a first node, a second node, and a bi-directional FET switch in series with the first node and the second current node. The bi-directional FET switch includes a first FET and a second FET in series, and is configured to cease conducting current between the first and second nodes when gate voltages of the first and second FETs are below a cut-off threshold. The bypass circuit further includes a sensing circuit configured to determine a level of current flowing through the bi-directional FET switch, and a switch controller configured to set the gate voltages of the first and second FETs to a level below the cut-off threshold when the sensing circuit senses that the level of current meets a doorbell press current threshold, causing the bi-directional FET switch to cease conducting current between the first and second nodes.

DYNAMIC, INTERACTIVE SIGNALING OF SAFETY-RELATED CONDITIONS IN A MONITORED ENVIRONMENT
20220227013 · 2022-07-21 ·

Systems and methods for determining safe and unsafe zones in a workspace—where safe actions are calculated in real time based on all relevant objects (e.g., some observed by sensors and others computationally generated based on analysis of the sensed workspace) and on the current state of the machinery (e.g., a robot) in the workspace—may utilize a variety of workspace-monitoring approaches as well as dynamic modeling of the robot geometry. The future trajectory of the robot(s) and/or the human(s) may be forecast using, e.g., a model of human movement and other forms of control. Modeling and forecasting of the robot may, in some embodiments, make use of data provided by the robot controller that may or may not include safety guarantees.

LOCAL FLEET CONNECTIVITY SYSTEM HUB

A local fleet connectivity system includes a plurality of machines disposed at a location. Each of the plurality of machines include an implement and a prime mover configured to drive the implement. The system includes a connectivity hub configured to establish, via a connectivity module, a connection with the plurality of machines. The connectivity hub is configured to establish a connection with at least one remote server. The connectivity hub is configured to exchange data between the plurality of machines and the at least one remote server. The data flows through the connectivity hub.

System and method for active shooter detection and evacuation guidance
11210910 · 2021-12-28 ·

A system and method for finding the proximate location of an indoor active shooter including: a plurality of acoustic sensors for receiving acoustic information from a monitored area, the sensors being dispersed in the monitored area, and each sensor having a processor for discriminating gunshot candidates from other sounds; and a host processor/server for receiving the gunshot candidates from the sensor and provide further processing to determine if the gunshot candidate is a gunshot. The server may use the first sensor to report as the proximate location of the shooter. As nearby sensors report the same incident, the server may refine the proximate location to within a few feet of the actual location of the shooter. The host processor includes a program or instructions to determine exit routes from the detected shooter and to activate a warning system which directs people away. The warning system includes a plurality of signaling lights capable of producing light in a plurality of selectable colors such that the host processor commands the lights to signal colors which warn people of the direction of the proximate location and other colors which direct people away from the proximate location.

Universal plate adapter

An apparatus includes a power adapter, a security camera and a base. The power adapter may be configured to receive an AC power source, pass through the AC power source to a light bulb and generate DC power by converting the AC power source. The security camera may be configured to receive the DC power from the power adapter. The security camera may comprise a camera module. The base may comprise an opening for a light fixture and an attachment location. The power adapter may be electrically connected to the attachment location. The power adapter may receive the AC power source from an electrical connection for the light fixture. The security camera may be configured to receive the DC power from the power adapter. The security camera may be removably attached to the attachment location. The camera module may be located beyond a front face of the light fixture.
