An audio output system for a vehicle. The audio output system includes a volume setting device for setting a volume of an audio signal, an audio input for an audio input signal from an audio source, a warning tone device for providing a warning tone signal, an audio-level measuring device for measuring the audio level at the audio input, and a control unit. The audio-level measuring device is configured to limit the maximum audio level of the audio input signal to a predefined first threshold value as a function of the set volume. The control unit is configured to control an audio output signal on the basis of the warning tone signal, the audio input signal and the set volume, and to output an audible or visual notification if the audio input signal present at the audio input has no audio level.

Time-varying haptic alerts for computing devices
Techniques are described for determining data dependent alert profiles to be presented on sender and/or receiver computing devices in response to a request for transfer of a data from the sender to the receiver. The alert profiles are determined based on a value of the data. The sender alert profile may be determined based on the information on sender accounts and the receiver alert profile may be determined based on the information on the receiver account. The alert profiles may be determined based on a history of the data transfer between the sender and the receiver, or account history of either the sender or the receiver, or the history of the data transfer within the system. The alert profiles may be presented on computing devices, for example through haptic actuators, to provide a sense of the data value to the user.

PET COMMUNICATION DEVICE
A system and method for receiving a notification from a pet, such as a dog. The system includes a remote computer having a notification application loaded on a memory. The system further includes a pet unit having a press activator, a wireless transmitter and a processor. The processor transmits a signal to the remote computer via the wireless transmitter when the push activator is pushed by the pet. The signal activates the notification application to cause an alert to display on the remote computer.

The present invention also relates to a system comprising: a wearable safety device as aforementioned; and a software application for a user device, preferably a smartphone, wherein the software application is configured to broadcast an alert signal: based on a comparison between a planned route input by a user to the software application and data relating to the location of the user device; and/or upon actuation of the alarm trigger.
