Method for controlling function and electronic device thereof
A method of controlling a function of an electronic device is provided. The method includes determining whether a human body of a user is in contact with the electronic device, and performing a corresponding function if the human body of the user is in contact with the electronic device. The determination of whether the human body of the user is in contact with the electronic device is based at least in part on whether an image pattern of the human body of the user, which is detected by the image sensor, a temperature pattern of the electronic device, which is detected by the temperature sensor, and a resistance pattern of the human body of the user, which is detected by the body conductivity sensor, respectively correspond to a reference image pattern, a reference temperature pattern, and a reference resistance pattern.
Temperature threshold monitoring system
A temperature threshold monitoring system for monitoring an ambient temperature within a discrete space, and methods of making and using such a temperature threshold monitoring system, whereby the temperature threshold monitoring system includes a temperature sensor and a microcontroller communicatively coupled to the temperature sensor. The microcontroller can be configured to generate an alert indicium when the temperature sensor senses an ambient temperature within the discrete space which corresponds to a predetermined low-temperature threshold or a predetermined high-temperature threshold. As to particular embodiments, the temperature threshold monitoring system can be configured for coupling to a dependent object within the discrete space.
Detector unit and sensing chamber therefor with matter retention member and method for making same
Embodiments disclosed herein provide a detector unit and sensor chamber with matter retention member and method for making the same. In one embodiment, a smoke chamber can include a detection circuitry member having a surface, a particle trapping member mounted to the surface, and a chamber coupled to the detection circuitry member. The chamber can include a planar member, and several baffles extending away from the planar member in the direction towards the detection circuitry member and disposed around a periphery of the planar member, wherein a distal end of each baffle interfaces with the particle trapping member.
DISASTER DETERMINATION SYSTEM AND DISASTER DETERMINATION METHOD
A plurality of sensing terminal devices and a disaster determination processing device are dispersedly placed at different positions. Each sensing terminal device is configured to send, when occurrence of disaster has been sensed, disaster sensing information to which terminal identification information for specifying the sensing terminal device itself is added, and the disaster determination processing device is configured to determine a disaster status based on the received disaster sensing information. The sensing terminal devices and the disaster determination processing device are connected together via a mesh network. A disaster determination section of the disaster determination processing device is configured to determine a disaster occurrence position and a disaster expansion direction from a placement position and a disaster sensing time for at least two or more of the sensing terminal devices having sent the disaster sensing information.
Fire detection method and apparatus
A fire detection method and apparatus accurately detects a fire. The fire detection method includes obtaining RGB data from an image; calculating at least one index related to the attributes of fire using the obtained RGB data; and determining the occurrence of a fire using the index.

Networked audible and visual alarm apparatus and method of synchronized alerting
A networked visual and audible alarm apparatus and method of synchronized alerting provides audible and visual alerts upon detection of events, such as smoke, carbon monoxide and gas. The apparatus adapts to a light bulb socket to provide normal lighting when no event is detected. The apparatuses are systematically disposed through different sections of a structure. Each apparatus independently emits an audible signal, dependent on the type of event detected in the respective section for the apparatus. Further, each alarm apparatus provides a colored high strobe light that illuminates at a color and intensity that varies, dependent on the type of event detected in the section of the alarm apparatus. A microphone enables the alarm apparatus to initiate the audible signal and the high strobe light upon detecting an audible signal from an adjacent alarm apparatus. Also, voice commands can be used to power off the alarming apparatus.
Emergency and exigency situation notification system
The present invention determines whether a fire or disaster has occurred in various fields based on voices in an exigency situation and surrounding environmental sounds, and automatically transmits an alarm, so that it can detect the occurrence of a disaster rapidly and accurately. The system of the present invention is installed in a building or is provided as a program of a computer or an application of a smartphone, so that the installation and maintenance of the system are simple.
Synchronization of outputs in a wireless fire system
A method and apparatus that including a control panel sending an activate output command, a gateway of the control panel receiving the activate output command and determining a time period until a wireless communication subsystem becomes available, the wireless subsystem adjusting the determined time period by determining a time until a node is available to receive the output command through the gateway and wireless subsystem, the wireless subsystem sending the output command and a value of the adjusted determined time period to the node and the node activating an output device based upon the output command and adjusted determined time period.
